Not a fan of the Baur. Shoots way too slow, not enough damage given how much recoil you have to deal with. Give my krylov, voss, and post-patch scar any day over baur.

I have been messing with the baur lately just to make things interesting.

I like the Baur, it is the gun I have the most time using, even though I havn't used it in 3 months. The problem is coming back to it after going exclusive Krylov/Voss. Trying to use it like the light assault rifles causes horrible death.

Thats what I'm thinking. Spraying or even light bursts w/ the Bauer just doesn't work very well. I find that its only useful for single shot "mid-distance" or face-to-face combat. Other than that, I absolutely enjoy its machine gun-like fire sound

The problem with Voss vs. Krylov decision is consistency. Krylov is a marginally superior weapon (I'm sure I'll have people arguing that marginally) but the fact that is available half the time is simply unacceptable. I need time to work myself into a weapon with round after round of consistent use and I just can't do that with the Krylov. Hence, I've stuck perfecting my Voss skills.

Just last night, I whipped out my Baur, though, to see how it feels after all that time with the Voss and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. I've read the damage per second numbers for all the assault rifles but I have to say the Baur is definitely more effective in close-range spray situations than the Voss. It just has a punch that saves your life.

Then again, I played against pubbies and most of my kills were shots of opportunity so this may be off.

Aestethics wise though, last night reminded me why I used to love the Baur so much. I go through phases, alternative between the Voss and the Baur and I've consistently decided that the Baur is just a better looking, better shooting and overall more badass rifle of the two.

I have a little different take, I run with the baur alot in single shot only, i can click my mouse 3-4 times and destroy any infantry up close. on the far shots you can land 2 hits in the dome and drop a guy far out....I love it

well, when I use the Bauer, I tend to kidnap his family, or hole the city of La hostage with a deadly virus first. Second, and this is a key point on using the bauer, you have to keep him awake for 24 hours, and at 20 hours, throw a twist in your plot to destroy Los Ange... I mean plot to use the Bauer....
