But it's professional and pertinent dribble.

Re: Voice Communication

$100 is a lot to bite off at once.

Does anyone have any experience with the $30 Audigy SE?

Re: Voice Communication

I found that I couldn't stack TS and the ingame VOIP on the same card. I now have TS on my onboard audio and VOIP runs off my SB Live card.

Good question. Do you have two sets of headsets or do you have the output of one card set to the line-in of the other? You must be using two mics as well. I'd like to see how you have that setup.

Re: Voice Communication

If you find me on your team in the mornings (if I'm not busy), I frequently use my mic. So you might get to practice with your speaking voice or better yet, do all the talking.

Re: Voice Communication

Sorry edgar, my question was aimed more at Augustus than you.

Re: Voice Communication

I have a solution for you that doesn't cost anything. Press start, then click run (or just press the winkey + r) type in 'dxdiag' without the quotes, and when that window opens, go to audio. Set the hardware acceleration to basic, save, close, and open bf2142. Your sound card should work properly now, given theres nothing else wrong. I have the same soundmax interface as you, and had the same problem. That fixed it.

Re: Voice Communication

I only have one headset, and two sound devices. The onboard sound and the soundblaster. TS is set to use the onboard audio, and I have it bound to *. VOIP is set in game to use R. The headset is only an ear clip mic, I push the sound of both through my speakers. I'm not sure what you're asking.
