Re: Empty Servers
Another good way to get into locked squads, is to get on the TacticalGamer Teamspeak server, if you just go into one of the inhouse squad channels, or the Battlefield 2142 main channel and ask someone of you can get a spot in their squad, you'll most likely get in

Re: Empty Servers
Hawk I can't speak for all of TG or even all of the 3rd SFD but most people here at TG don't care so much about skill but more about the personality of thier squad mates and playing with the people they know are team oriented and they know that other TG people will be this way.
Whenever I lock a squad it's usually to get members of my IHS in it. But unless there are 6 or more of us on I'll always open it up. The only exception to this is if we are runnng a special squad(Like a gunship, apc squad ect.) or we are trying out some new tactics that would be too hard to explain. At least once or twice a week I personally (and many others) try to get on and start up a "learn TG" squad which are specifically to teach non TG members the "TG way". Sometimes I get more TG people in these squads than non which I admit I shouldn't let that happen as much as it does. Also usually if you jump on teamspeak and jump in one of the squads channels if there is room they will almost always send you an invite before they unlock their squad. Most of us are adults here and can take criticism without getting upset. As long as you agree to follow our rules and play for the team over yourself you are more than welcome in this community and on our servers. I hope we see more of you on the forums and the server. Re: Empty Servers
Well, typically, TG In-house Squads will temporarily lock they're squads to allow members of they're squad in. Then they always unlock it (unless it's an asset-based squad) to allow other TG and non-TG members in. Sometimes, if there is a full in-house squad, then the squad will fill up so non-TG players don't have a chance. At other times, there is only a few TG members on, and if that TG member is a squad leader, they'll usually lead a squad or two, and trust me, those fill up very fast.

Re: Empty Servers
You've just been unlucky man.
Like what's been said. Look for the "Learn TG" squads, those can only contain 3 TG members max. If more TG members are in it, last one in must leave. These are the best squads to try to get into and the best to learn from as the mix is perfect.

Re: Empty Servers
well, all in all, i doubt it's anything that has to do with TG or 2142 itself. I just think it's a slow time (not to mention the steady decline in 2142 players). Theres Bioshock, TF2, Halo 3, and various other games that people are now playing. Also, it's in the middle of the semester for highschool and college students, and i know, personally, it's coming around the time when the tests are rolling over you.

Re: Empty Servers
I think a good lesson could be learned here. If you all want 2142 to survive the onslaught of new releases this fall, you need to bring in new TG guys. Playing with your ihs is great, but lets not forget we are all TG. Lets hope the server sees an outbreak of learn TG squads now
. Lots of random pubbers check us out. Some for only a game or two. All it takes is one good game to make a person put us into their favorites and then it is not long before they are on the forums.

Re: Empty Servers
I started playing again after about a month's break and found that I couldn't even connect to the main conquest server....hopefully I will be able to soon, not sure what happened.

Re: Empty Servers
We switch to a new conquest server not too long ago. If you had the old one in your favorites it won't work anymore. Do a search for the new one on the advanced tab of the ingame browser.
