I do recall one time of the first times I ever played the full game. I was on a pub server, killed someone, grabbed their kit, and then ran around with a squad for a good 30 seconds before I realized that I was on the EU team, had TKed someone wearing PAC gear, and was, in fact, running around with a PAC squad racking up TKs. I eventually realized my error when I was trying to revive a PAC and kept saying "clear" in English rather than Russian. I stood up, tried to kill someone, and was promptly TKed by grenades.
