ANNOUNCEMENT: How to report a problematic player
There are many situations that will require help from an admin. These can include anything from cheating to griefing to breaking server rules and so on. There is a correct and an incorrect way to report these things.
Before you report anything however, here are a few things that you will need. 1) Problematic players name (in-game name) 2) What the problem is. What is that player doing that you find inappropriate? 3) Which server? (i.e. Svr #1, Svr #2, Svr Private) 4) Approx date / time of offense. When you have these pieces of information, there are several ways to contact an admin. 1) Teamspeak 2) PM in forums 3) Instant messenger To make things easier for all parties, please make sure to have the information listed above. What you will notice is missing from that list is the "action to be taken by the admin." In no way, shape, or form should you be telling an admin what action to take. The admin will decide the appropriate level of response, whether that be a warning, kick, ban, etc. What you will also notice that is missing from the ways to contact an admin about these players is the use of public posts in the forums. There should not be any public posts about banning such and such a player, or accusing a player of cheating, etc. This just brings about a negative energy that is not needed. The admins will take care of the matter behind closed doors in respect for all parties.

Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine, regardless of the level of advantage, if any, it gives over the opposing team." -- Tactical Gamer Primer |
