Recon Kit SOPs- When sniping target squad leads as a priority, on TG servers the squads leads are key and taking one out helps to close down a whole squad
- Recon netbat unlock together with squad lead otus, will put red dots on he minimap from the netbat. This is a quick where anyone in your squad looking at an enemy will put a red dot on the minimap for your squad
- The cloak is great for sneaking past the enemy, often used by squad leads to penetrate past enemy defences
- The cloak and RDX are great for vehicle killing, this is a real alternative to engineers or pilums. Some really good walker crews can fall prey to the RDX cloaker
- When RDXing assets put one each side, then it only ever takes 2 per asset
- RDX traps on flags clear the area for counter attack, the flag going grey is the trigger to blow the RDX
- APM traps at infantry chockpoints should be set at the side, so they are hidden
- APM traps on flags are effective. This helps to slow an enemy flagcap or even scare them off the flag when they get close
- The defibs
- Always pack the defibs, on the TG server it is 100% expected that an assault guy will carry defibs
- Clear area then revive, there are 15 secs to revive that is plenty of time, so make sure the area is clear before reviving, there is no point on just going for the revive and getting shot and then having two downed guys calling for a medic
- Keep your squad leader alive, as the spawn point they are the core of an attack or defence, as a habit keep track of them on the minimap and revive them as a priority
- If they are glitched and can't be revived then throw a medic hub on them
- PK rockets
- Method 1: zoom add 2m & fire
- The top of the 'T' sight is where the distance is taken
- Target the barrier that they are hiding behind
- Zoom in
- Use the mouse wheel to add 2m (the distance is shown in zoom/scope mode)
- Raise your weapon, as rockets loose height in flight
- Fire ! your rockets are now set to airburst 2m behind the barrier
- Method 2: target behind person, zoom & fire. You can target an object immediately behind a person, like a wall, and just fire without adding distance with the mouse wheel, relying on the splash damage radius to kill the person
- Method 3: zoom walk forward & fire. By walking forward you are adding distance and the rickets airburst behind the barrier
- Method 4: don't zoom, just fire ! Shoot at objects around the person, even at the floor where their feet touch. The rockets explode on contact and the splash damage kills the enemy
- Method 1: zoom add 2m & fire
- In defence positions put out the PDS vehicle scanner in a forward position, in the direction you expect they to come from
- If you're playing armour then put the PDS on your armour
- When you cap a flag immediately get your motions mines out to defend
- Especially put out mines on maps with one road as a choke point, eg Cerbere Landing or Berlin
- To stop racing FAVs, place your motion mines a distance behind your EMP mines
- Don't bunch up your mines or one bait will get them all, conversely if you are in a vehicle then carry the bait
- Hit tanks on the sides or the back for max damage
- Hit APCs on the sides or the back for high damage and hit the vent at the bottom of the back plate for max damage
- Hit walkers on the legs for high damage and hit the underneath vent for max damage
- Look for the repair symbol on the minimap for team-mates needing repairing help
- When repairing a vehicle get on the back side away from the enemy fire
- With the advanced repair tool (DysTek Repair v2.0) you can just drive up next to the vehicle to repair it, look for the repair symbol bottom right
- EMP nades are great to confuse enemy infantry, they will find it difficult to shoot anything or read their minimap
- EMP nades are great to get an 'EMP lock down' on an enemy vehicle, for your friendly engineers to take them out
- Look for the resupply icon on the minimap and resupply your friendly infantry
- Put the infantry scanner on key infantry routes, this helps your whole team see the enemy coming and make the kills
- Put the infantry scanner on your Squad Lead's Otus, this helps keep your all important squad lead alive
- Sentry guns are good at a distance over open ground. Sentry guns are accurate at distance even when its difficult for the enemy to place accurate shots on the sentry gun
