The Revive

Pubbie world compared to TG world
  • On random servers you will find that revives are rare and unexpected
  • On our TG server, revives are expected and commonplace, they are the mutual way of helping the team
As an assault, always carry the defibs
  • As an assault, make it a rule to always carry the defibs, to not carry the defibs is embarrassing on the TG servers
Critically wounded soldiers can be revived
  • When a soldier is shot, there are 15 seconds to clear the area and revive them, this is plenty of time
  • As an assault, you can see friendly soldiers going down on the minimap as blue circles with a cross
The revive procedure
  • To revive place the defibs on or near the fallen soldier and ZAP !
  • You have 3 ZAPs and then the defibs need to recharge
  • You can revive from lying or kneeling or standing
  • To avoid getting shot yourself, run up, revive, run over them and away
It is not possible to revive "dead" soldiers
  • Under certain circumstances a shot person goes straight to dead and cannot be revived, there is no 15 seconds of critical injury
  • These are; shot in a vehicle, rorch on infantry, shot noramlly and taking heavy further damage eg from arty, pilum on infantry, shot on ladder, somebody with parachute open lands on soldiers head
If the body is glitched then throw a medic hub on it
  • Particularly on railings, a body can be glitched and cannot be revived
  • The way to do it is, try to revive twice, then throw a medic hub on them and then try to revive again
Clear the area then revive
  • Clear the area of enemy soldiers and then revive
  • If you go for the revive and get shot, then there are two people wanting a revive
  • 15 secs is plenty of time so clear the area first
You can pick up assault kits to revive
  • If you need to revive but are not assault then pick up an assault kit with the 'G' key
Squad leads are the priority revives
  • Your squad leads life is more important than your, they are the spawn point and keep the squad focused tactically
  • During normal play, keep an eye on the squad lead to always know where they are, so you can always revive them and not be looking around for their body
  • Risk your own life to revive your squad lead
If somebody else is running for the revive then let them have it and cover their back
  • Each person going for the revive is one person not looking down the scope at the enemy, so let them have the revive and cover their back while they revive
Call out your revives
  • Say "Name, revive in x secs" eg "Eroak revive in 3"
  • If you are under heavy fire then use the word hot eg "Eroak hot revive in 2"
Learn to recognize when not to revive
  • A revive saves a ticket but also learn when its not worth attempting to revive
