I think a good tactic would be, (if you are SL, have a beacon placed and are waiting for your squad to spawn) to tell your squad to hold spawn until everyone is ready. if one guy drops in he will alert the enemy, and they will come and be nasty to you before the rest of your squad arrives. But if you wait, all 5 of them can come at once and then it's more even and the enemy has less time to react.
Just a quick thought...

If you are an SL, then just have them spawn on you. No need for a beacon to give away position. This scenario is basedon you not being the SL, I believe.

honestly, it depends on who your up against
if your up against a bad squad, then pick them off, (MEDICS FIRST)
if thats not possible, just play smart and annoy them until help comes =P

Really doesn't matter. normally when a person spawns they do one of two things:

1.) they do the unbelievably stupid thing and stand up run for cover fireing at the enemy squad. which in turn draws the fire to him and the squad in general getting us all killed.

or

2.) they do the smart thing they crawl slowly while prone and do their best to stay stealthy, and creep into cover. from there its one of two choices ambush the squad trying to cap the flag, in which there is still the chance that your squad would be wiped out OR wait until the squad leaves to go cap another flag and then rush in and recap the flag and hope that you do it before anyone has the chance to spawn there.

or the third thing where a recon pops on a cloak and runs in front of a support equiped with the NetBat Active Camo ID gets mowed down the support then uses a pulse meter or throws an IDS down revealing the rest of us and then we get totally shot up.

Actually I think that is the smart thing most of the time. If you are in a squad chances are the bad guys know where you are already.

Get the hell out of dodge. No sense wasting tickets in an obvious 1 on 6. Most likely they will quickly take care of you and cap the flag anyways. At least on the TG server.

I go for it, and for some reason I have pretty good results, usually because I'm support and just mow them down in close. But that is because I'm an unstoppable juggernaut, and all who face me fall before my mighty Ganz.

Well, if you are support then you wouldn't run out of ammo. The point of the post is that you are NOT an SL and you have limited ammo left, meaning you are NOT support.

Then I would find a place to hole up in and wait for backup, or try to pick a couple of them off and ambush them, cause consternation, and ultimately find an AHUB or a dropped kit.

Edit: I just want to say that I usually play support, so my response is different than it would be for an assault player.

Ya, the point is if your a sm/sl if your lucky, and out of ammunition. Meaning Assault-Medic, Sniper, or Engineer (which is very difficult to use in a close quarters encounter against superior numbers), how do you get out of a situation where your heavily outnumbered in otherwords.

I'm an Assault-Medic normally and so that is why this thought occured to me
