How not to take cover.

Here's an interesting thing for you all: how many have noticed that if you take cover behind a thin object (such as the barriers on Camp G) and press right up against it, as much as your entire upper torso will show through.
It will not appear so on your screen, it'll seem like you're just hiding behind the object, but everyone else can see your forehead (it doesn't even need to be your whole head to kill with head shots) or even more of your body depending on how close you are.
Also, remember that, while you are behind something, that your gun can be seen around the corner. If you're prone, your legs stick out and you can be killed by shots to your legs.

Re: How not to take cover.

Of course. It's so much fun to knife those fools, too.

Yay BF2 engine clipping!

Re: How not to take cover.

I try and stay about 4-6 meters behind most cover. This way I'm not rocket bait and I'm harder to read for the range finder. I almost always use a fulcrum corver point to engage ranged targets. That's placing a barrier halfway between you and your target, Your thinking about that cover and he's not. That gives you a advantage to use the cover before he can if it's needed and you have room to move in all directions.

Re: How not to take cover.

Take a look at one of Lyramions threads on this very subject:
