Re: Squad Member Load Out?

As of the past week or two I've been seeing a lot more Herzog usage, I think many comes from pubs who don't have all the unlocks yet. When I first unlocked the Herzog, it sounded like a great idea so I tried using often as possible, since I was still pretty new, I never lived long enough to utilize it.

I probably used the rockets for a good month or two, found it sort of hard but never had a chance to use it on a pub server since I was always romping around in CQC. I started using the Herzog on 8v8 servers and it gave me a huge advantage against other assaults. If you use it for a week or two you'll get the hang of it. The trick is knowing when to use it, you really have to judge player on the fly, but sometimes the Herzog makes you do things that are fancy... Crux has really gotten the hang of the herzog though!

My two cents about the Herzog...

Re: Squad Member Load Out?

Wow, interesting, I'll definitely think about this in the future. I'm also best at CQC, it's just that I'm not great at it on TG because of my FPS problems, but on pubs, strafing with any AR while keeping your sight on them and spraying always puts the enemy off. Useful post about the Herzog, and I might try it out...in 6 months xD...hey I've got a decent memory

Re: Squad Member Load Out?

Assault: Voss if EU, Krylov for PAC, Rockets, defib. (Baur if I need it.)

Support- Clark, Pulse Meter, EMP (Sometimes the LMG if big maps, and the situation calls for it)

I dont really use the Herzog, cause my aim is so terrible with the shotty, that I will need more than 3 shots. But I might consider it in the future.

I really like my Support loadout, and is my default. Pulse is a handy item, just whip it out and you know how many people are there in a building, or forest, like a portable IDS. EMP to stunlock, which has saved the squad once or twice, saving them precious time. Clark really suits my style, which is run in and kill everyone, while everyone is shooting/nading/rocketing at the spot. Which would possibly explain my massive deaths. But I also rack up several kills with it, so its all good. (Side note: If you've had me on your squad, you probably noticed how often I've died. It's because I was taking the deaths for everyone else.)

Re: Squad Member Load Out?

Assault -
Voss
AR Rockets
Defib
SL Spawn beacon

Essentially, I run as support to the rest of the squad. I carry the voss because if I engage in a firefight, it's usually because we're being overrun, and we need to drop bodies quick. If I'm running with heavy armor on, though, it will be the BAUR for added stopping power. I always carry a SB in my kits because if I die, and the SL loses his kit on a revive, he has the added bonus of picking mine up and still having a beacon.

Engineer -
Pilum/MM/EMP Mine for defensive positions (Dry Lake on Suez comes to mind.)
Pilum/MM/AE Defuser for supporting armor on the run. I will always move in before the armor to take out any lingering mines, lay my own, and get back on the road.

Support -
Ganz/Sentry Gun/Emp Grenade almost always as a Titan defender. With a medic in tow, this kit can easily hold a corridor from most attackers.

Recon -
Lambert/IT-33/RDX This is my "power" load out, which I almost never use. It for spearheading an assault on a position that's heavily defended. Essentially, almost always for Titan Attack. Useful for those occasional instances where someone needs a piece of Armor taken out - and no engineers are around.
