In theory, drop pods are killable too, but I've smashed through both transports and gunships with no harm done.

During an orbital on top of a building if there is ladder jump on the top rung and you don't take damage (just watch out below)

Parachutes are counted as "Vehicles". I killed one with a TV Missile once - too funny


I think drop pods themself are indestructable. There is a glitch that makes zou able to hold APC drop pods in the air for an unlimited amount of time and meanwhile to ram every Transport and Gunship in your way while even getting the kills counted.

Yes, you are correct of course, however, on some ladders, mainly indoor ones, e.g., the ones inside the towers around Gibraltar's Toll station, jumping wouldn't be possible

I will always prefer the PAC pistol, simply because of the recoil and superior ROF, when firing in quick succession you can't see what you're firing at with the EU pistol, I got all of my pistol badges up to gold with the PAC pistol, and not even one pistol pin with the EU pistol, although they're both very handy, I just tend to feel more confident with the PAC pistol, and therefore use it more.

As demonstrated here, here and here.

I saw an amazing one ages ago, as they filmed it in the third person, and it was truly mind-blowing compared to these ones, after looking for a while I couldn't find it, and thought I'd offer up these as a treat instead.

Let me clear when I say this, and it probably doesn't need to be said, but I am going to say it anyway - this type of behavior is not welcome here at all, period. Don't do it, even if you're fooling around and seeding the server, it is not something we want to see anyone doing.

While I was part of Conflict 2142 campaign, someone actually shot one of my squad members and killed him WHILE he was podding down. It was amazing yet ridiculous at the same time since there was some G15 micro scripting going on.

Also, parachutes are dangerous creatures and should not be deployed in a friendly cluster.

Ever get teamkilled by your squad when jumping off cat walks together? Nasty stuff, if your with in 3 meters and above someone who deploys a parachute two things happen.

1. You get crushed by the awesome might of fisher price parachutes
2. You are unrevivable no matter how many medics there are

Also, it is possible to do battlefield fatalities! "Finish Him!"

Ever get critically wounded and as the medic comes for you all of a sudded your killed? (With out getting revived!) Yea, what's up with that!

Mortars, Tank Shells, Motion Mines, and I'm pretty sure RDX'n a critically wounded fellow will ultimately make him dead.

Here's a very interesting tid bit that will cause super caution the next time you go prone!

Ever dive on the ground, fire your weapon only to see your bullets are EVERYWHERE?

If you go prone (Default key "Z") and hold it down it'll freeze you reticule at the widest it can possibley every go, causeing super inaccurate bullets. Sometimes in that desperate struggle I'll hold down a button just because. Now I don't once I found that out one day when I was messing around with Crux!

- If you still hold "Z" and tap crouch to get up the reticule will still be maxed, now you can be like Rambo and shoot wildly!

And finally, if you go prone and strafe left or right, your soldier does a diving roll to the corresponding direction. (My lil secret!)

Generally throws people off, and your aim gets as affected as just going prone. There is a very short delay, hence I only do it with the Herzog/Clark....

The shotguns ignore ALL movement delays FYI. That half second pause when you go prone isn't there when you use a shotty! Woo!

Nice Azura, I'm going to have to remember those tips; and Lorax, my apologies, I never meant that people should carry out "pod-flying." It definitely has no place here at TG. I guess I forgot that disclaimer.

Never got the point of 'pod surfing' anyway. The big white smoke trail tells everyone where you are and where you're going, chances are by the time you land there will already be 5-6 rifle rockets zooming towards you.

I saw someone on fall of berlin hop into the apc at his ucb and drive it out near the first meatgrinder flag. He podded out, OVER the intervening buildings, and landed near roadblock. This was very recently. I couldn't believe my eyes, and was so stunned I wrote it off as a visual glitch. Keep your eyes open for the admin folks, report this abuse.
