Re: Try the Mini-Map, It's Delicious!
Depends on how you use it, and what gun you use at what time. But, if used properly, you're gonna rack up kills and points because assault need their supplies to rain down hellfire.

This is such a good peice of information for everyone! As an SL this makes your job very important. You can tell one of your SM's that someone is moving in on thier "right" and they will repsond faster than if you tell them on thier "east". Why, because everyone doesn't orient themselves constanly to which way is North. Especially with pubbies, but even some TG'ers can get disoriented when fighting...I know it has happened to me. Also, in regards to the IDS, as an SL I almost always bring Spanky and will have an IDS on Spanky. This means that you IDS is mobile with you, it also works on the Drone. Remember that when on Infantry maps the IDS for infantry covers a large area, but on Armor maps the infantyr IDS radius is signifantly reduced. Great post!

Re: Try the Mini-Map, It's Delicious!
Sure, using the minimap is awesome, fun, and useful, but have you tried using it while it is spinning at three rotations per second? It takes skill to move the mouse with exact speed in the oposite direction to make the minimap still and be able to discern any enemies around you.
Granted, because you're spinning around like a fool, they probably will kill you even if you know they're coming but it's still better than nothing!

Re: Try the Mini-Map, It's Delicious!
Do you set the minimap to 100% opaque or allow for some transparency? I feel that it is a slight disadvantage to have a blind spot in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Re: Try the Mini-Map, It's Delicious!
A good minimap more than makes up for the small blindspot it creates. I set to some opacity so I can see obvious threats, but in general I like that map fairly solid.
