How recon/snipers contribute
Just kidding, anyone remember my top secret camp gib strategy? I was digging around and found this laying in the corner with some dust on it.
"It's called the catapult. This new state of the arc equipment will launch us up to any building we desire. Here's what one looks like."

"Here's how they work:"

As you can see, you load the catapult with the person (Big iron ball in the example, no idea where they got that idea.) and then cut the rope. The spoon then gets sprung up from B to C to D and then finally A. When it reaches A, you will be gladly flying through the air to your destination. Look, I even made a plan for Camp Gibraltar.

I remember 2 versions back when we did have that catapult. It was called pod-spinning and people who were really good at it could spin upwards of 200m in a fall. Your idea of vaulting players to the ass-end of the map is exactly why EA removed it!
