I would argue that armor maps are the only ones on which snipers are even moderately effective. They tend to be more open (making for clearer shots and fewer rocket-sighting positions) and have far fewer medics lying around to make your well-placed shot worthless.

Goody, next time I'll pester my SL and ask to be a sniper next time we play Verdun. Of course, I do it anyway, but now I actually have a good argument for it! Thanks Raz!
