lol Indeed, I was "reported" for bunny hopping the other night Plain and simply I was jump throwing frag grenades into a flag zone. the person reporting me said I jumped and evaded his fire. Well i cant help it that he choose to shoot at me when I was throwing a distance grenade.

What is next, when retreating from enemy and you jump over debris, obstacles and low fences while under fire you get: "reported" bunny hopper evading my fire jumping over that barrel?

reports and complaints should only be based on fact with multiple visualized occurrences from members. In my book bunny hopping is multiple jumps all over the place, not a single jump.

Just my Opinion

I'm sorry you were reported for throwing grenades, but mistakes happen on both sides. Deliberately falsely reporting someone is a SERIOUS violation of the TG way, but it would be really hard to prove.

Also, bunny hopping is jumping (even once) with the intent to avoid fire. Bunny hopping is not hitting your jump by accident, nor is it jumping to gain grenade distance. It is not diving over an obstacle to take cover, nor is it jumping to clear railroad tracks or other "hangups" that can slow a sprinting soldier.

Usually it's pretty clear when someone bunny hops.

Bunny hopping is a weird rule to enforce if you ask me. I understand that it isn't realistic at all but the truth is that when I'm ambushed sometimes one of the first things I will do is look for something to jump on or over just to avoid fire, but that isn't against the rules even though it uses the same mechanic to accomplish the same goal.

Getting behind cover by jumping over it isn't anywhere near the same as bouncing around like a crack-happy dolt.

Re: Destroy your jeep

I think the rule would be a lot less confusing if you didn't call it by the wrong name.

Most people seem to take our meaning, but just for laughs, what would you prefer we call it?

Re: Destroy your jeep

Honestly I wouldn't refer to it with any name. I would flat out say, no unrealistic monouvers such as jumping or diving to dodge. Bunny hopping to most people refer to multiple jumps in a row or even more specifically multiple strafing jumps used to exploit air speed acceleration with results in an exploited fashion of movment that is both unrealistic and faster than intended by devs.

In other notes diving and somersults work in paintballing. Paintballs move slow IMO.

Re: Destroy your jeep

Off Topic: To be honest I first thought 'bunny hopping' was talking about people who RDX whored. As they always jump around throwing and blowing things up. I now know better, but still it can be a little confusing to those who are rather new to the FPS market.

Back to the original topic: I almost always destroy a buggy when I leave, however I also tend to only have 10%-20% left of her anyways. I have got to stop playing 'Dukes-of-Hazard' when I drive that thing. I seem to hit everything on the road (except the enemy) when I drive. Needless to say I don't drive the FAV that much on |TG| servers, everything else I do rather well with though.

I will have to remember the RDX trap idea...
