Re: infantry gun vs.walker

Lately I've been practicing maneuvering myself under a walker, which works OK but only if you have the stamina to sprint and they're not in a position to move very fast (ie: a crowded area vs. open ground). I haven't been stepped on yet; gotta keep a sharp eye and have some anticipation of their moves.

Usually if they don't have a gunner up top, they have the huge blindspot you can sneak up on. Once you start firing it takes a moment for them to orient themselves to what's going on. If they're new to the Walker, it'll take far more time to get repositioned or they'll just run. Either way gives you more time to load up rockets and blast away.

Nothing more satisfying than launching rockets up their vents. In lieu of that, a few point of damage with the guns before supporting infanty gets wind of what's going on then proceed to ventilate me.

Re: infantry gun vs.walker

or the walker could just sprint forward, turn around and get free kills because walker sprint > infantry sprint

I need to try that sometime, just walker sprint into a large group of enemy soldiers with the shield up. I wonder how many people I can squash?

Again, you need to know your environment and be aware of your surroundings. Suez Canal is one map where it's actually pretty easy for Infantry to take a Walker down due to all the nooks and crannies, and how the roads tend to limit maneuverability.

Sure the walker can sprint forward, turn around, and blast... but in that amount of time I ALSO have a fair chance of turning and sprinting into a building or behind a storage tank.

Which by then, rockets are reloaded, and I can get off one more shot before I go down

Speaking of sprinting into fire, I always have a profound urge to yell "Allah Akbar" every time I boost towards people in the FAV.

Oops? Never mind that. I was mostly talking to myself... I have a bad habit of posting the first thing that pops into my mind.

At 20% and less than that, the walker can tip over. I had mine at 20%, repaired it to full and had no problems. I hate it when people jump out when the siren goes off. COWARDS I say!
