Yea, the little vents. However its not really applicable in combat, unless its to destroy an abandoned walker with low health. At least not imo =/

Its one reason why walkers need some kind of infantry support. Several times on Gib I've seen a walker decide its going to take the enemy team on its own, charge in, and get emplocked. Lacking engineers, the team piles underneath and starts blazing away at the vents. Since the walker is outside its effective support range, it can only sit there and die or, if the driver is stupid, let the walker get captured.

I've been in squads where we've taken down walkers this way, with and without the walker being EMP locked. It's not usually a good idea, but there are times when you see a walker and you just know the pilot is green and you either end up taking down the walker with small arms, chasing it away, or as Razcsak said, capturing it.

If i get the chance and i'm an eng I'll use the pylum in the vent. It dosen't matter how high the health is one shot one kill. Not only that you don't die (unless a infintry gets you) you only take little damage.

Re: infantry gun vs.walker

Already knew it, but it's surprising how many people don't know it. I often see messages calling people hackers after they destroy a walker with a pistol

If you are in my squad and there is an enemy walker nearby, don't be shocked if you are shouted at to EMP the walker and get underneath it.

It's fun to run underneath a walker and pop a Pilum in the vents, but you can take a lot of damage (or die if the walker lands on you).

Also, I have damaged walkers from long range by airbursting rockets between it's legs, underneath the vents.

I love the way everyone clusters in under the walker and then get blown up by a nade.

I usually get killed by bad physics when trying that. Brush the walker's leg, and get instantly fragged.

I haven't seen this happen. Usually it takes a good punt or an out-and-out squish to get killed by the walker.

It's important to remember that even in the vents each bullet is only going to do ~1 damage, so don't go charging under there with a typical assault rifle as it'll still take you at least 3 clips to down the thing from 100 health. And even with the clip upgrades, I'm pretty sure the pistols don't have enough bullets to take one down by themselves.

I know the feeling. I generally try to stay as far away from them because just being in a 10ft radius of them is sometimes lethal.
