Re: FALL OF BERLIN - No Vehicle TACTICS-Attacking
I've noted some things and here's some tips and tactics that might help:
1) Rush Crossroads up the middle:
At the very beginning: You have to have a close spawn, light armor, and have your squad hold spawn until you're on the flag or close. You can put a beacon on the cars right before you get the the flag and prep for a second wave (make sure you spawn in at the same time).
Equipment recommendations: SL beacon (to set up a second wave of spawns), nades (to clear flag), shotguns (CQC), medic hubs, defibrillators, mines (to protect initial rush when flag goes down), light armor.
1a) Crossroads drop down
This is tricky, but if you can keep your squad alive long enough, it'll cap the flag in seconds: Gather your squad on the catwalk that drops down right onto Crossroads directly east of the flag. Hide your entire squad around the corner just above the ladder. Then countdown, simultaneously run down that catwalk, drop down on flag, and spread out. The flag should go down in about 5 seconds. The problem is you can't stay too around the corner because people will see the grouping and toss nades down that walkway.
Recommended equipment: pretty much the same as above, with a bit more emphasis on healing because you will take some damage before your rush. Also IDS or Otus (to check if flag is clear).
NB) Crossroads Tips
NEVER NEVER NEVER sit inside the wall of Crossroads flag. It's instanadegib time in there. Go a little past that U shaped wall around the flag to the next section just to the north and lie down. People will be shooting from the north, but you can cap there and avoid most of the nades and rockets. Also, make sure to let your commander know that you're capping it when the flag goes down. In the Crossroads drop down rush, the flag gets capped really quickly if it works.
3) Rush north slope.
You have to do this quickly and all together, preferrably after a collective nade barrage. You will lose some people, but if the SL can break through, he/she can keep running to Square, thus pulling part of their front line away.
Recommended equipment: light armor, active camo, mines (to slow down pursuers), SL beacon (drop right when you get to the bottom to provide a distraction- eventually they'll blow it up, but it should give your SL some time to push), rockets/grenades (to clear slope), close range weapons (to cover SL), medic hubs (to heal on the way to the flag).
4) Rush south side.
If you do this you have two choices. a) Ladder b) Building just north of ladder. Again, this is both for diversion and for Roadblock flag. Similar to the North slope tactic, this has to be relatively clear or else your squad will pay. In this case, the second floor of the building is preferable because this will force the PAC team to take shots in the rear or turn around and engage you.
Recommended equipment: IDS/Otus (provide intel to team further behind enemy lines), mid range weapons, ammo/medic hubs, defibrillators, sentry gun (to cover building hallways or above ladder), mines (to cover building hallways or above ladder).

Reason: Organization and fixed NB) section.
