Medic... way more than just a kit
Hey guys, itīs me again.
After playing on your servers my way of being a medic is getting approved more and more. So whats the meaning of being a medic for you guys? At the beginning i started playing as a sniper. A lone wolf zeller sniper. It wasnīt that much fun, cause actually your doing just one think... killing enemies and always in the same way. After a long while i started playing assault. first i was just killing enemies and throwing some hubs but after i while i found myself more often with a defi in the hand than a gun. For me medic is way more than just wearing the kit. Itīs my way of gaming. Iīm proud to be the one behind our comrades and shouting my " CLEAR! " everyone is doing his part in the team especially in the squad. my intention is not to kill as many enemies as possible or revive to got many points... for me as medic itīs more important to even avoiding death by throwing smoke grenades and pulling out the med-hubs. sure i wonīt get the point for a revive if no one is dieing and if iīm carry some smoke iīm not able to kill those bunch of guys behind the wall next to us cause i donīt have any rockets but at all.. that's still not my intention. my faith is to keep everyone alive at all cost. i donīt care the stats that much so iīm pretty happy that way. just something i wanted to say. greetz , black_Mirror

Re: Medic... way more than just a kit
Yay thanks. but actually itīs not the " how to be a medic " i wanted to say itīs more the passion behind this kit. iīm not a medic just to avoid our teams ticket-loss be reviving mates. itīs because i want to be a medic

Medics are so crucial to a squad, it's unbelievable. They are probably the most versatile, ranging from the Krylov to the rockets to the Smoke Grenade! to the defib. That makes them extremely adaptable, which is great because you never know what's coming your way next. It's an honor to be a medic, and a lot is expected from those who choose to fill that position.

Re: Medic... way more than just a kit
It's by far the best kit. Non-stop action, depending on if you have the audacity to run out in the middle of a field to revive your buddy. Most people I've come across play this kit like it should be. Killing people sure, but reviving more. Which is the point. Lately though I've been noticing that some people just can't come to terms that since its a game, when you die, you come back to life. So they just hide behind a wall or something while you sit there dying ten feet away. Get's a little annoying sometimes.

Could be because they are sure they don't have a chance at picking you up before they get dinged, so they just save their ticket. That's smart playing, that is.

Well, some of the time that'd probably make sense. But when I die from something like an orbital strike, and there is absolutely no one near me but six or more medics. It kinda makes me wonder. ![]()

Re: Medic... way more than just a kit
In a hot situation, I know that I'm not the best shot so when I see one of my squad go down who I know is a far better player than I, I'm willing to sacrifice my ticket to get them back into the fight. However, it's also annoying to revive someone and have them stand there as they try to get their wits about them, only to be mowed down by gunfire. As such, I've got into the habit of shouting "Run" as I'm reviving them, in the hopes that they'll make a run for cover as soon as they are up. This tactic seems to have worked well over the past few days. And quite often, doing this ends up with me being revived after my much more effective squad mate dispatches the threats that probably would have killed me if I'd engaged them.

Re: Medic... way more than just a kit
That is annoying Proctor. As the dead guy, I've recently taken to assuming I'm GOING to get revived until my timer runs out, that way I'm not bewildered when suddenly I'm alive and kicking again, only to get mowed down. One thing I've picked up on the TG server is guys calling out to the downed teammate prior to reviving them. It is very helpful when I hear, "McLarge, get ready to move" or something along those lines, so I've started doing that myself when I'm reviving.

Re: Medic... way more than just a kit
I completely understand what you're saying Black. Generally I always try to keep the rez's going because we don't want our teams to lose tickets. However the other day I was playing on 'Care bear' and I believe I was SL. Anyway my squad was doing a great job and I decided that I would keep my main focus on just keeping my comrades alive. Of course I'd defend myself but my priority was simply keeping people up.
Needless to say at the end of the map I was very surprised not only at my score but simply knowing how helpful it was to the entire team.
