What should i unlock..
Hey comrades,
At the moment i just fully ( i don´t own NS but i unlock the NS stuff by field-up-greats ) unlocked the recon and assault stuff ( also all SL and player up-greats ) so i´m just affective with these kits. But to be more multilateral and all-purpose for the squad i should unlock the other kits, too. Now here comes the question...
What should i unlock first? I got nearly four unlocks left to spend cause i wanted to know whats most important to unlock first. Should i unlock more of the engineer or support stuff and with what unlocks i should begin.
Thanks for the help.

Re: What should i unlock..
Before my suggestion let me just say I'm the person who has no recon unlocks, but a full assault, engy, partial support, all player, and 1 SL.
I would say go for the engineer next. I would start up the right side so you can get motion mines, then up the left for the pilum. The engineer is vital to maps that have any sort of vehicle.

Re: What should i unlock..
I guess it would depend on your play style.
An upgraded engy is a must for any vehicles maps, but a good support with EMP mines can also do a lot of damage and is very useful against vehicles as well.
Support also is great at defending but not so much attacking. They also have this great thing called an ammo hub that gives you unlimited ammo.
Engy however, is number one against vehicles. and great on maps like Suez and Verdin. Still, to be trully effective as an engy motion mines are a must and it takes three unlocks just to get to them.

Re: What should i unlock..
emp grenades
get them
learn them
love them!
they are feared by vehicles and infantry alike.
they are safe to throw into areas populated by friendlies
they blind and confuse the enemy
they are the bane of every vehicle driver
with the extra-nade unlock and a nearby supply hub you can throw an infinite amount of them without ever seeing a reload delay.

Re: What should i unlock..
If you go engineer, get motion mines and the pilum. The SAAW is nice, but it's use is fairly limited to only a select few maps, due to the fact that it's almost useless against ground armor. Plus you can always get it with Field Upgrades after the MMs.
For the Support kit, i'd recommend going straight for the Ganz, and then always unlocking the IDS with your first field upgrade. You'll get EMP nades from this tree also.

Re: What should i unlock..
Support is a nice kit to unlock, but it's also very popular. There are more times that I as squad leader call in engineers than additional support. With that in mind, I would recommend the engineer kit. On some maps it can make or break a defense or offense, more so than any other kit. On other maps it fills a niche and then other maps it's not needed at all. But for those maps that do need it, it's great to have
.

Re: What should i unlock..
I would get make sure to get assault and engineer equipment before most other things since most squads leaders want you to be either a engineer or a medic.

Re: What should i unlock..
Thanks everyone for the quick answer. I guess i will give the engineer a try. I actually don´t depend on my play style cause i don´t want to use them until the SL is calling for an engineer or an supporter. ( okay i´m gonna use them a few games up now to get a feeling for those kits cause a weapon is nothing without a trained finger on the trigger )
PS: i really enjoy this community, it´s always up form some noob-questions

Motion mines are a massive upgrade, before those there is no anti vehicle area denile weapon that will ensure distruction of armor. The pilum is a sweet weapon but not much better than defaults and worse at range. If you play as an engineer a lot stopping buggy rushes a PDS or emp mines work nice, other wise you have everything you NEED till you have the motion mine bait that comes later. I would sudgest that you work up to the IDS after you get the bait then you can cover the basics, motions & IDS ... the 2 most important things they can do.

Re: What should i unlock..
Actually, that's one thing I love about this community, nub questions don't get shot down by "elitist bastards". We actually care about the new guys coming in and learning the game, it speaks volumes of the maturity here.
As for the kit choices, if you're going to go Engineer, get the Motion Mines first if you haven't already gotten the Pilum. The Pilum is nice, but I've been messing with the default rocket launchers and they're surprisingly really good. The trick to them is, after you shoot, if you zoom in to shoot and hold left click when shooting (to prevent the reload), you can aim the rockets by moving your aim. The thing you have to keep in mind is that if the enemy vehicle is in your sights (I think "sights" include the outer of the two circles in your reticle, not 100% sure) they get a warning beep. Your best bet is to aim at them, wait for them to pop shields, and once the shields run out, launch your rockets and aim for the weak spots. Generally the backsides is the weakest spot but also the hardest to hit, I generally go for the sides of the the tanks because it's alot easier. It takes awhile to get used to but when you get good, you can take walkers out from as far away as you can see them.
A quick replay to show why I <3 the Mitchel/Sudvik over the pilum. I was playing on Verdun defending Church, and an enemy Walker was defending Hillside Farm from a squad attacking from Valley Farm. Anyone who's used a Pilum knows how HIGHLY inaccurate it can be at that distance. However using the PAC's Sudvik, I was able to one shot the walker by aiming between it's feet, and at the last second flinging my aim straight up, curving the rocket right into it's vents, blowing the walker up. I'm pretty sure the walker was at or at least near full, because the pilot got out to repair it and went back in after awhile of repairing.
In short, Motion Mines -> Ganz -> Pilum -> Clark is the order i'd go for the rest of the unlocks. The Pilum and Clark are nice, but the IDS from the Ganz is too useful. Feel free to switch Ganz with Pilum if the default rockets isn't your cup of tea. =)
EDIT: left this in the background for half an hour and there was some posts I didn't see. I pretty much just repeated what sleeper said. ^^

Re: What should i unlock..
You can manually aim the rocket launcher? I didn't know that.

Re: What should i unlock..
Oh yeah, dude. You can hit all sorts of stuff behind cover with it. I love killing tanks that are over a hill, thinking they are safe. Just launch the rocket high into the air, holding down the primary fire button. As soon as the missile is over the crest of the hill, pull the crosshair down to where the tank is hiding behind the hill, and keep it there. Unless the guy is really good with the shields, you will just have smacked him on the turret for 50-75 damage. XD
It does take a bit of practice though. It's also useful for taking out annoying enemies far away. Most won't or can't dodge it, and its an unrevivable kill.

Re: What should i unlock..
I have gotten head shots with the SAAW before, but I've got to try using the rocket launcher again.

Re: What should i unlock..
Soooo... this night i unlocked the engineer tree till the motion mines and just unlocked the EMP-grenade.
I also played 2-3 rounds as an engineer. i still haven´t the feeling of this kit to use it like i would like to but i guess this will come after a bit more practice.
Thanks everyone for the help.
