Play dead!
Ok, so here's another tactic I sometimes use to make away with my bazaar self.
You in a Tank or APC and your alone. You have a engineer on you and you can't find him. A good way to fish them out and kill them is to trick them into thinking you abandoned your vehicle to save your ass. Now is there chance to win themselves that engineer pin, but what?! your back in? Kiss the engineer with no cover goodbye.
Now some know me and how I play, This tactic doesn't work to well vs TG players since they know I'm repairing behind that APC. But if you know it is someone not that experienced, you might save your ass by playing dead.

Re: Play dead!
So what your saying is...
If I see an newly empty vehicle, I should throw 'nades at the back for an Eroak efficiency pin? Right?
Thanks for the heads up!

You type the English good well. Eye seas you're point.
Playing dead has saved me a few times. More than once on the slaughter fest that is camp g I have hid in the bodies of the enemy just to shoot the person attacking me thinking I had already dropped.
Also as you 'eloquently' stated above, getting out of a tank and then jumping back in can catch a lot of people off guard.

The instant I see a walker go grey, unless I see friendlies running for it, rockets are flying in its direction. If the walker's going down, I'll hopefully get the pilot. If its someone repairing, my chances of stealing it go up just that much.

Re: Play dead!
I got mowed down by an enemy support laying among his dead buddies last night on Shingle. I saw another friendly squad take them "all" out, they went down, and as I went to run past the pile, his muzzle started flashing from amongst the deceased, and soon enough I was one of them. I both admired and loathed the tactic as I crumpled to the dirt.

I'm not that sneaky, but I always hide in the obvious for some weird reason. People walk in front of me and I don't move. Then I run in the opposite direction.

Re: Play dead!
I remember once I did that accidentally. I was Support and went prone to lay down as much accurate cover fire as I could (had time for the shot range to settle down). My squad came in and got owned by rockets that exploded high enough above that ground that I was down to 10 hp, not dead. The squad that killed us ran past and didn't even realize I was there under the pile of my dead comrades. I stayed there til they respawned and we just went on our merry way. I think that happened in Belgrade, but I don't remember for sure, it was a long time ago. One of those snow maps =(.

Re: Play dead!
No the enemy, believe it or not. This happened to me several times and I thought for sure I was spotted.

Re: Play dead!
I like crawling under vehicles, the ones I can fit under at least, and laying motion mines directly underneath them. Sometimes I even drop the occasional IDS or PDS on their underbelly.

Re: Play dead!
I'm seriously dislexic. Sorry that my grammer/spelling isn't on par.

Probably because they're thinking "I'm sure that a person was not hiding there. NO ONE could be that dumb." and refuse to believe you are there.
Back on topic- That's a very interesting trick I have to get the hang of, especially in the meat grinder that is the toll-harbor stalemate.
Or with vehicles too.
