mining on Harbour flag @ Gibi
This is the best way I have found to mine harbour flag east side
The FAVs can go past motion mines if they are at speed, and EMP mines dont always slow FAVs down so the motion mines can get them
by putting mines on the long slope,
> the FAV cannot speed past,
> plus it scares the driver and they try another route,
> plus as the slope is long you can spread out your mines enough so that one bait nade cant get all the mines

Nice, I'll have to remember this one.

Great placement but I have often found that I spawn no where near the east side and miss the opportunity to get mines that far down the slope before the first buggy rush occurs. Granted this is usually when the server is full of IHS in the evening.

yea, I agree with Grim, even when IHS aren't on. I find it's much better just to wait in the rorsch and kill the buggies

Re: mining on Harbour flag @ Gibi
Its usually the initial rush that gets by and ends up with EU falling back enmasse to run down the squad thereby losing Harbor. Or, lately, the buggy just stops at the east side of Harbor, two squad leaders jump out, both squads spawn in, one goes for the flag the other makes itself a nuisance and the flag still falls. I'm waiting for the game where EU doesn't spawn Harbor and just sits Toll and the game lasts for about an hour and all the grenade, rocket and emp grenade spammers can have a great time!

It's not as much fun as you would think. The real problem is that the only way to win this type of battle it to not push. Anyone that moves forward is a lost ticket. This first off is very hard to do. A single squad not listening will cost you the game. Add to it that most people don't want to play the same map for 4 hours and it digresses fast.
One time I have see where both teams were disciplined enough not to push. it was ugly, it was boring, and it made for a bag game. In 15 minutes of game play each team only lost 10 tickets. Another 15 minutes another 10 tickets. When each team still had over 200 just think how long and drawn out it becomes.
The whole game devolved into shoot all of your rockets, throw all of your grenades, get revived, resupply, repeat.
In the end, even seasoned TG players said enough was enough and started to push. They did not care that they were losing the game, they just wanted it to be over. The stalemate took all of the fun out of the game.
