"Tapping the enemy" an effective LMG skill.
I've discovered a pretty awesome way to decimate targets with a support LMG, in the time of an assault rifle, the accuracy as if you were proned and like there was no such thing as overheat! I call it "Tapping the enemy". When you have your LMG equipped, and see a target, do the crouch, aim, fire doovey, and continously tap on your fire button instead of holding it down or 'burst, cool down, burst etc. Bursts of 1 or 2 bullets fly from your LMG and these bursts come in large quantities as you are tapping very fast on your fire button. You have the accuracy because of your posture (crouch), and you have near no recoil since your not holding down the fire key, and you get no overheat. This is great for when LMG users want to decimate their targets quickly and turn the tables on your assault-medic enemies. I'm not sure if it works with the Ganz HMG, as the ganz crosshairs close slower, but you can always try. It is really like your a support-assault, so try it and see how you guys like it.

Tricky to get right, but effective, but I use the Ganz and you're right - it has more recoil and slower crosshairs. Something similar to it IS possible, though it's not quite single shot. More like a 3RB / 2RB / 3RB etc.

I use this with just about every gun that heats up, even vehicles. It is not a new trick, just playing smart. Overheat = dead meat, so use controlled bursts

well the BEST way to get the most out of those guns, is simply to herd ur enemy, shoot realy obviously infront of cover, ((they cant tell your at an angle, obviously direct em to a place ur flanking)) use nades if u can reach or even a handgun/RDX shotgun, then while there hiding just empty it into em using ur touch tap tech, hell with the ganz, u dont need to worry about cooldown, the damage it does is mad, just get head/chest shots :P

Indeed by tapping the fire key, I have grown to like the LMGs better than the Ganz due to how fast I am able to kill targets at long, medium or even short distances. Tapping definitely works better than spraying.

Why? Does it increase your fire rate? Logically speaking spraying should allow you a higher shot-per-second and thus a faster kill. With the machineguns there should be no loss in accuracy with extended shooting either. So what's the difference?
I've tried this with LMGs as well and still find the 3-2-3 combo with the Ganz to be more effective (possibly because of the higher damage per round - 3 bullets to damage and the 4th should result in a kill).

Re: "Tapping the enemy" an effective LMG skill.
Tapping allows you to avoid the cool down time of the MGs. If you just spray eventually your gun overheats and it takes a few seconds of sitting there useless to cool down, tapping keeps the temperature of the gun down to prolong the fire rate. With as many shots in a clip as the MGs have, being able to go through them all without overheating while still maintaining a constant stream of shots can pin down a squad if they can't get rockets off at you.

Oh, I see.
In my experience it's better to keep it to 2-3 round bursts and open up when you have a clear shot. You should be able to fire off about 10 consecutive bullets (enough for two easy kills) and you can go right back to 2-3 round bursts without overheating.
