Because EA cut funding for this game before it was ever even completely finished, and opted instead to pour thousands if not millions of dollars into it's lackluster sports games and it's newest rip-off: Dead Space.

Yeah this does this when entering the map menu. So each time I look at the map, my mini map has zoomed out. Very very annoying!

I dunno, I don't seem to mind too much... I always play with my minimap zoomed out... seems to work fine. Within a certain range of me I just use the minimap as a direction indicator, and then go search for the enemy using my eyes.

As a die-hard support player it seems I hardly even look at my main screen sometimes. Especially on ladders, it's really annoying. But complaining doesn't help matters any so instead my 'n' finger gets some practice.

Thanks for pointing that out; yes, the map zooms back out after you enter the 'menus'.

And I do what you said, too. Unless I'm in an active battlezone, I stare at the minimap. I think that might be a bad habit.
