Re: Walker Tactics
How annoying is it when you get under the walker, and you miss the vent? It's a thin line between 90 damage and 16..

Re: Walker Tactics
Look at the weak points on the walker and notice where the leg joints are. That's about the right level for a tank to ram. However, just to be sure everyone's clear, intentional ramming is not allowed on TG's 2142 servers. That doesn't mean it won't happen; it just means you're not supposed to do it.

Re: Walker Tactics
We all know you're awesome, Lyra. Especially after being accused of hacking in this past weekend's TTP scrim.
For the record, yes, you can get the walker into the Com Tower area on Belgrade without too much trouble.

Re: Walker Tactics
Great post! Infantry definetily are the biggest threat, the various covers they can use, along with Active camo, can make them a deadly force. Moving is the key I believe. And you need to be aware of your surroundings.

Re: Walker Tactics
taking a night off playing allows time for bumping great threads like this one! Take note people, there are often times where in a squad nobody will feel like piloting a walker, only to have someone take it by default to die within 30sec from an emp lock + boom. Its just another great asset if used correctly but this is so often not the case.

Re: Walker Tactics
Didn't see it here but you can also hold Z to crouch. I use it to hide behind stuff when being bombed from long ranges from tanks and the like. A lot of tank pilots on other servers will move up to hit me, letting me run out, flank them and destroy them with ease.

Re: Walker Tactics
The crouch function is fairly worthless, it immobolizes you, and also you can just run from tanks even more easily than trying to get duck for cover.
