flags switching speed

So when I played in the BF2 Combat league, we only put half the squad in the flag radius, and the other half would hold back and cover us (or stand by to hop in if we got artied). I've never seen that done in 2142. In BF2142 is there a max number of people in radius that produces the fastest flag change or is more just better?

"When you add 1 guy to another guy the cap speed will double. Flag will be capt in 50% of the time as it if were one guy.

Adding a third guy will cap the flag at 33%

A fourth at 25%

Fifth 20%

Sixth 16.6%"

Thats what I was looking for, thanks. I'm with you on the 2 or 3 on the flag, but no more.

If the flag's radius is large enough, then I'll probably ask everyone to get on it, such as Toll on Camp G. But, if the radius is tiny like Comm Center on Cerber, I'll only ask for a max of 3 people to get on it with everyone else staying clear to go for revives, defend the flag cappers, etc.

I'll just say that on Command Center I'd have three guys on that flag, one as the 'bait', and TWO behind the columns, because as you said, it's possible with rocket spam one is going to eat it - and having to recap that all over SUUUUUX.

I find that the more people the better on the flag to be honest...The fast you're on there the fast you can get out of there before people start grenading

Well from the thing posted above, any more than 2 is a waste, it's just a matter of how much you want to waste - personally I'd think up to four would be acceptable, with at least two (one being the SL) staying away.
