Attacking/Covering
Hello guys, I think the way we attack lacks coordination/precision/knowledge of the battlefield.
There are two important things that TG as a whole needs to keep in mind
1. Situationally changing routes
Basically, this is based off two things, speed and cover.
Cover is important for something to basically protect your body and crouch up from, make sure you don't get squad-wiped from.
Speed is based off a squad getting by a front flag, and the team dropping back too far, and you going not the most tactically sound route, but the fastest route.
2. Clumping up
The famous squad bomb, or also know as the squad wipe when facing good players. It is simple, just spread out, even on a flag so some people push forward and some people stay back. Going around a corner, provide depth and different angles so a person can't set the rocket on the wall and kill 2 or 3.
Now to Decent Players who aspire for more
Attacking a Flag
Now, attacking is quite hard, especially against equally or greater skilled people and an equal or greater number of them. It is not just blindly rushing the flag and rolling over everyone because your so skilled because you will eventually run into people more skilled than yourself. It is being acutely aware of spawnpoints, and making sure you do not pass the perimeter of spawnpoints so you will be shot in the back. Notice who dies on their team and where the bodies are, and if there is enough down, that is when you need to break from the safe zone your squad created and hit the flag. Do not stop if there is resistance and run back to cover, push up and move to the closest cover in front, shoot and move basically, do not retreat. At this point, you have to span out, do not bunch, go where people will not expect you, still be aware of spawnpoints, and put yourself in better cover than others.
Repetitive Crouching
Do it because it messes people up because harder to get a headshot and less exposed with cover, simple as that, I was actually going to change my crouch key because I need to be able to press it faster than I do now
Fear Dying
never have the belief that a guy you revive in a firefight is skilled enough to kill and return the favor unless you recognize the name but realize you cannot win a battle outnumbered
Headshots
At this point, I'm messing around with only trying to get head shots, slowing down my rate of fire extremely which of course kills me a lot but in the end hopefully I get better
Movement
Try to incorporate a zigzag dive to your dodging bullets. Never return to the same firing angle in a firefight
Here is pretty skilled people I found on youtube(type in name then 2142)
watch how they use cover/move

Re: Attacking/Covering
Nice post.
In addition, look for weak spots in the enemy. If they are well formed in front of you, then flank them and hit them on a weak side.
Keep them guessing, if you have tried one angle, change it up and keep them guessing.
Do the unexpected, for example:
Everyone tries to break thru on Berlin by either going north or south. Once this has been attempted a few times, take your squad and form up at the center building between Crossroads and Roadblock. Run thru the building and when you get to the road, Sprint like you have never sprinted before. Do not stop to engage unless you have to.
Believe it or not, this does work....
Just an example of keeping them guessing.

Re: Attacking/Covering
Yea the cover thing is extremely important. Many people will stop in the middle of open space to return fire on enemies. Most of the time this will just get you killed and probally get someone else on your team killed if they go for the revive. Instead of just stopping and firing, keep running untill you get to some good covor and then drop a med kit and return fire.

Re: Attacking/Covering
Flank and high ground.
Something I don't see enough of is opportunistic flanking. I've run right into the middle of squads because I was watching the minimap and saw them all looking away from me. Run right through them without them seeing me, turn around, and shottie them in the back. Just because they were directly facing you a second ago doesn't mean they're doing it the whole time. And if they are.... well that just makes flanking them easier!
Flank flank flank!
