Apm
Hi all, I was just curious about which side of an APM detects when infantry is running past or near it. Like in this picture (sorry if it doesn't look like an APM ^__^;

/_ /
is it the front, or the back?
I've always thought it was the front, but many a time I've been knifed due to an APM that didn't go Boom! when it had to.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Re: Apm
It's the front.
Unlike claymores in CoD4 and other games, however, if you crouch past an APM or crawl while laying prone, the explosion won't trigger, maybe that's why you got knifed?
When placing APMs to protect yourself, try to hide it from the view of the person you would be trying to take out. If they can see the APM they can easily just crouch past it and it becomes only a deterrent, not a shield. If you're putting it at a corner, don't put it out in the middle, put it up against the wall in a way that the enemy can't see it for maximum likelihood of protecting your tags.

Re: Apm
there is also a short (5 seconds I think) activation time on them so you can't just drop them in front of an enemy.
