Emp
Does it have any use against infantry targets?

Re: Emp
It sure does! I remember one time as Commander (before joining the TG community) I was having two of my squads assault a highly defended command point. The defenders were doing a good job of keeping my squads out of that area. I don't remember what map it was exactly, but it was one that lacked a whole lot of vehicles, Walkers and Jeeps only. The enemies Walker had just been destroyed and I had an EMP strike available, Orbital Strike had been used just recently. So I EMP Striked the whole mass of enemy units.
The Strike caused the mass confusion the two squads needed to push into and take that control point. So yes, it does have uses against Infantry. I mean, who doesn't find it annoying to have their HUD flicker, change to odd colors, lose the targeting reticule, and just cause many distractions.

Re: Emp
Several months back, the 3rd ran drills using EMPs to attack a point. They worked well, and I suspect they'd be better against people who weren't expecting it. If you're support and assaulting a point, consider lobbing EMPs in, especially if you're assaulting a place not easily reachable by frags. Remember, EMP effects go through walls.

Re: Emp
EMP > all explosives (in my opinion..)
I HATE having my HUD all screwed up when I'm trying to defend a point, and even more so when I'm trying to attack one...
The EMP deserves every bit of lovin it gets.

Re: Emp
EMP Grenades are amazing.
Every time you hit something enemy with an EMP grenade, you get half a point. They also show hit indicators when you hit a critically wounded enemy body. They're great for disabling vehicles and causing confusion within enemy ranks, and before you know it, you can net some massive points with them too...It's Gaming

Re: Emp
True, but think of the knife kills you can get while the enemy has no idea what the heck is going on! ahaha. You have a good point there, though why not both? Nade to take a few enemies down and then EMP to disorient the rest. Kinda off topic from the question posed at the beginning, but still I think that EMP + Nade would be the best way to go if you reaaally wanted to give the enemy a good stir before jumping in there and finishing em' off.

Re: Emp
So, I read that guide on EMP grenades and tried my hand at stunlocking last night and today. I must say, that is one great tactic. I was able to render so many vehicles useless with it. The only sad thing about it is that there's no teamwork score for it... I need the unlocks, everyone keeps asking for the PDS or IDS!!

Re: Emp
I always tend to have a supportmember with EMPs on titan maps... they work wonderfull on those corridors. taking out sentry's for a moment and have a slight advantage over enemy soldiers
