The Scar is supposed to be the lesser version of the Baur but it its bad compared to the Krylov which is the other gun available by default

I never understood why people hated on the SCAR so much. Just be a bit more discerning with your shots. I love the SCAR, have 40% accuracy with it. It's a decent gun. I think people just never use it because when they're on EU and they can't have the Krylov they just prefer the Voss, haha. Also, in response to Greyed, the Baur and Voss, as I recall, kill with the same number of bullets in almost all circumstances. The only difference in bullet number is if you're hitting all limbs. For torso and head shots, the numbers are the same, but the Voss has a greater RoF by 50%. On the other hand, the Baur's bullets travel a little bit faster.

I would give you the hard numbers but unfortunately the weapon comparison chart appears to have been replaced by a porn site.

there are a number of reasons nine.

1. The SCAR used to suck even more than it does now before 1.5. It was almost unplayable before.

2. The SCAR does nothing that all that well. The Voss is great for close quarters battles and has lots of bullets. The Baur causes a fair amount of damage at distance and makes people feel "leet" for getting the hang of it. The krylov is like a precision knife that causes a good deal of damage. The SCAR, well... it just gets beaten by everyone. it's not that you can't get kills with it... it's also not that you can't get the hang of the gun and do better with it. It's just that the gun is outdone in every aspect by every other assault rifle available.

3. The SCAR is not a good weapon.

Zoraster, I think you misunderstood my post. I know why people don't like the SCAR, there just seems to be a pervasive rabid hate for it as if the bullets fly in random directions when you pull the trigger.

Honestly, I think it's mediocrity is what makes it preferable to the Baur or the Voss. It has average damage, average speed, average range, and average bullet capacity. It's not specialized, and that makes it good anywhere, even if a different gun would preform better in a given situation. I carry nothing but SCAR11 and Krylov, so stop moaning when you pick up my kit...

The reason I hate the SCAR is the extreme inaccuracy of the weapon. I've fired the SCAR at ranges that I would be able to hit with with a Voss or Krylov and it misses every time. Now the Baur on the other hand has nice accuracy, which is why I like it at longer ranges.

I unlocked the Baur and am trying to learn how to use it. Sadly my kills have droppe dramatically as I'm picking up the learning curve. The kick is pretty intense, but I love the single shot power on it.
