    As you've heard, aim low and let the recoil take you up. If you can't consistently kill in one burst, you're doing it wrong (as I was) and you should try and aim lower.

    I did that successfully several times with I could get the drop. I aimed almost at stomach and it rode up and insta gibbed the guys.

    However reactionary from incoming fire I can't seem to get it to work with me yet, by the time I get my aim on I'm down. Although hopefully switching computers today and having more than 25FPS will help out with that a bit.

    I suspect it will, but as Crux shall always repeat, you should be constantly seeking to get the upper hand in any confrontation by flanking or maneuvering in a way which allows you to get the first shot off, which is why the Baur is awesome because it drops people real quick when you can do this.

    I have to admit, my reflexes are not that great (might have something to do with the fact that I'm new to this game?), and while outmaneuvering is great I find it's often difficult to get into that flanking position, especially when your opponent has a squad of guys watching his back, and you have a squad of your own to support. My Baur almost invariably does better when I can find cover and take the first few shots my enemy puts my way, whether that's taking damage or cover.
    Of course, this is coming from the guy who wishes he could finance his house on his KtDR.

    I can't wait till tonight if I get a chance to play and see how bumping up from a 13.5 inch laptop with onboard graphics to a 19 inch widescreen high def monitor with a 512 graphics card. I think the biggest issue with me and the baur is the fact that on this laptop the spot I need to aim at on a guy is small enough I am squinting half the time lol.

    But when the Baur and I do get along I love it. I got a good grenade at one point last night and it killed a couple guys, and I ran in right as they were getting rezed and just unloaded my clip running over them and they all dropped like I had been using a shotgun.

    I seriously think it's the second best close range gun, even tops of the Herz IMO.

    don't get me started on rubbish computers...25fps?? I'd be so lucky to see such high frame rates haha!

    On topic: Baur, works for me! If you enjoy using a weapon and have success with it, go for it and don't listen to other people trying to convince you that their view is best. Numbers are just numbers at the end of the day, and they don't help you kill anyone. Let your shooting do the talking!!

    The Baur is possibly the weapon that has the most potential for owning everyone you come across.

    Playing BF2142 as:

    -{SXGr}- J0KerRr

    -{SXGr}- x^DeTeR

    I'm always open for tips, tutorials and training in the gunship while online, just ask :)


    Currently taking a break from MW2, but when I play its as:

    eXileD// DeTeR


    Even if you don't consider that I only have 7 days played in the gunship I'm one of the best pilots in the game

    I will always accept a 1v1, friendly or not

    The Krylov is amazing for it's hosing ability while still being great for precision shooting. The Baur can only hose one person, but you can easily single-shot 3-4 guys down with it at distance. To each his own preffered method of killing people, I say. As long as the enemy stays dead, who cares how you do it?!

    They key problem is quite simple. For taking a flag you need to be on it. You´can´t take a flag by singleshotting it.

    When you order the initial rush on maps like cerbere or camp you need to have your SMs to dispose of enemies quick an secure in order to make things happen.


    After bleed has been taken off you can do all the fancy singleshotting you wish.

    For capping a flag why wouldn't you just switch to full auto? The Baur is dangerous at close range.

    Your Baur will chew through ammo very fast. That is the only thing I dislike about the Baur - small clip.
