Doesn't it give you double recoil? If not I just miss at this point easily unless I use semi fire, which I never tend to have time to switch into (and as for that I neglect situations where I get far with Baur)
I'm trying to work with it, but I've handled long without burst or semi, mainly as I rarely run out of rockets. Though I've missed couple really good killing straights because I was unable to hit the guy with burst 3 times, and had so little health that one rocket was my death!

Re: The Baur.
I prefer the Voss to the Baur because I do use semi-auto a lot for long range targets.
The voss single shots will keep the weapon's sight neer target wich easily allow one to shoot at very high rate without sacrifying the precision.
Because of the Baur greater recoil, it seems to take me forever to get my target's head back in the middle of the scope.
I also have an issue with the small amount of bullets in the Baur clip.

Re: The Baur.
Baur is a nice bit of kit. On semi-auto (or single shot) at medium/long ranges it is killer if you aim properly and keep your boots planted. If you are going up against multiple enemies in a close off engagement you better be ready to get out the good ol' BJ-2 or pistol, otherwise avoid the situation completely. Remember, in semi-auto you fire as fast as you pull the trigger... sometimes.
In the hands of an experienced soldier, it can deal some serious damage.

Re: The Baur.
I'm really of mixed feelings about this honestly. I love the Baur, but I love it as a training tool as much as anything. After spending a few days to a week with the Baur, I absolutely DOMINATE with the default guns.
But honestly the reason I use it more than anything is the rocket reload time. If I am doing things right it doesn't matter if the other guy's gun has a higher dps than mine - I'm shooting him in the back and he isn't firing at me. But when it comes time to put some serious rockets on target, the Baur lets me do that fastest.
All that said, I've recently started using the SCAR and Krylov again and am having some great rounds.

Re: The Baur.
The Scar isn't half as bad as people say it is. At medium range it packs a significant punch and fires faster than the Baur, as well as having a thirty bullet clip. Once you get over the bizzare reticle and funky recoil, it becomes quite potent. Also, its rocket reload time is almost as fast as the Baur. I don't use anything but the defaults anymore.

Baur and Scar have same RPM. Donīt listen to the Gun sounds. They are horribly off the truth.

Do they really? That's news to me then. Are you sure its not just your outrageous German ping throwing it off?

Re: The Baur.
Nope - same RPM. The game sound for weapons might trick you. pro Mod had the sounds adjusted to the fire rate of the weapons. Lambert was sooo slow to hear the sound of haha

Re: The Baur.
Well, that's disappointing, to say the least. Well, at least you have 10 extra bullets! 30's enough for 2 kills before having to reload, assuming about 25% accuracy...

Totally right. Anybody can do a test, sometimes the fire rate sound sounds like 2 bullets come out of the baur but you only fire 1.

Re: The Baur.
Because the 2 best players I've played with at TG for more than just a few rounds - Zhohar and Azura - have both used the Voss and I've seen them both consistently mow down multiple enemies right in the midst of the chaos of the frontline. When I see someone do what they do with a Baur, I'll consider using it more.
That said I still do enjoy taking out the baur for the occasional spin, but just like pretty much every other weapon I'm not great with it, but there is some enjoyment to be had from it. For effectiveness though it isn't the best, IMHO.
When I do use it, it's never in Single Shot. You can single shot on auto if necessary, and counter-act the recoil by pulling the mouse downwards at mid-shortish range. At the very closest range, I'm usually screwed, and at long range I use rockets, since recoil doesn't allow you to string more than 2 shots (if you're lucky) at a small target, without having to re-adjust your aim, by which time they've either found cover, or there are rockets heading your way.

Re: The Baur.
Just a note, Sharingan:
Azura in particular uses EXTREMELY close engagement ranges. He likes to play up close and personal where his uncanny reflexes are at maximum effect. With that in mind, you need to find the right weapon that is effective for the range YOU are most effective at. Zhohar and Azura shouldn't be your guiding light.
