Re: The Baur.
I actually find the SCAR the hardest of all the weapons to single shot people at long distance with whereas the Baur is arguably the easiest... though I might argue the Krylov gives a good run for its money. That said, I'll admit I don't have huge amounts of experience with single shotting from long distance as I really would prefer to rocket, nade, close distance or avoid the engagement in most situations.

Re: The Baur.
BTW, after getting rockets unlocked and finally getting to where I could use the Baur fairly regularly I have to say... whoa! WTH was I waiting for!? Very next unlock was the Baur so I could run it far more often. Voss, 10-15% accuracy. Baur I've been as high as the mid-40s. That dang thing is a monster and fits my style nicely as I aim for center mass. Finally getting the hang of rockets, too. Gotta say being on the shooting end is a heck of a lot more fun than the receiving end.

But, yeah, count me squarely in the Baur camp now. I actually miss the dang thing when I have to go Engie or do a practice round as Recon. I shall dub mine, Natasha.

Re: The Baur.
I believe the correct spelling is Natascha.
He was told that he should not kill, and he did not kill, until he got into the Army. Then he was told to kill, and he killed.

Re: The Baur.
I like the killing potential of the Baur. I've been able to pull across a man in front of me several times and just drop the guy while I'm running by.
The Voss is nice for it's large clip but I've ran into baur toting assaults and we've both dropped and started firing center mass. 9 times out of 10 the Baur will drop me before the Voss can take him down.
On a similar note I've come across similar instances of the same when I've been using the Baur and have lived through a fight with a Voss toting opponent and have walked away with a quarter or more health while he's lying on the ground with a sucking chest wound.
I've found that the basic kit rifles are both strong but I'll have to side with the Baur as my preferred Assault Weapon.

Re: The Baur.
I believe that the consensus in this thread is that the Baur is a better 1 on 1 weapon at close range, but not as effective at taking down multiple targets in comparison to the Voss.

Re: The Baur.
Voss = More bullets, more time to hit the target even while dodging
Baur = Less bullets, less time to shoot at your target unless you save the bullets
Simple as that, good players usually save their bullets when they know they can't hit, or just fast reload if target is running (with baur). In 1on1 its better against slow moving or stationary targets, but if he can avoid getting hit for the first couple seconds of shooting, Voss would have been better choice!
As for this Baur once again, is better at getting your targets from off-guard, but also it becomes much better when you can fire and hit without caring if your target is moving and shooting from hip, whereas you are usually stationary!
So Voss gives you better shooting from the hip aka you can move a bit around (slow movement), but also has some bullets in case your target dodges you first shots. On the other hand if you end up reloading you pretty much need to pull your pistol (/knife) out. With Baur you may end up reloading in middle of fire fight but you may get over it if you happened to jump behind cover etc. and target has to run 1 sec to reach you.
Good users for both weapons can pretty much easily overcome weaknesses, but still both weapons have clearly their personal strenghts, I go Krylov most of the time now, which is very different from Baur and usually goes nicely when played with Voss (so every second round baur every second Voss). Or on the ohter hand using ''harder to use'' weapon first gives some warm up to Krylov.
/again horribly long post on this thread

Re: The Baur.
Was my point in comparing Voss - Baur >.<
In Baur vs. Voss if you get 1 guy with Baur off guard he will have smaller % of survival than if you were holding Voss! Good player may survive if getting caught off guard, but if the attacker has Baur it is even less likely.
Main point here was off guard = stationary / hiding in proper cover, but not expecting combat from attackers direction.
Though I prefer Krylov over both in any case!!

plus, krylov has that satisfying puff puff puff sound and looks like it's made of plastic.
