Paranoia
I am sure all of you have been in a situation where you are walking/driving merrily along on your way to capture a flag, teabag a sniper, and achieve enlightenment when you find yourself with either a knife in your back or RDX-induced flight out of what used to be your tank.
As such, when you have a reprieve from regular combat, take a look around you. If you are walking by yourself to a flag across open ground, make sure someone isn't following you with a knife. If you are firing at a tank in the open desert, press C to make sure nobody is putting an explosive gift up your tailpipe. IDS's and other people make it easier to watch your back, but just make sure.
Then double check.
Because cloak can reduce the possibility of being spotted visually, while IDS can be fooled by a Ghost.
Actually, triple check. He was told that he should not kill, and he did not kill, until he got into the Army. Then he was told to kill, and he killed.

Re: Paranoia
This thread has been properly named. I wouldn't have thought of paranoia as being a tactic. Awareness, yes, but.... lol.

Re: Paranoia
My problem is that I'm paranoid at the wrong times, and comfortable when I should be paranoid.
That leads to exploded tanks and sad Kelvin.

Re: Paranoia
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there isn't someone getting ready to knife you in the spleen.
Good post, Mercenary.

Re: Paranoia
I have forward and back outside views programmed into my side buttons on my mouse. Main view on scroll wheel click. It's so handy for having a look behind to check for enemies and makes moving through obstacles so much easier. The beauty of these views is that they work in gunner seats also so I can tell the driver to pop shields if need be.
As it's a vehicle control you can keep them set for infantry unlocks 5 and 6 (rockets and defib) when not in a vehicle
