I will definitely be coming back to the TG server for some fun. I am unlocking support kit first for shotgun fun, it's my personally preferred play style, right in your face. Eventually I'll flesh out the SL unlocks and be poking my neck out trying to score a squad.

I'm actually in Davenport (Quad Cities, if that rings a bell).
Anyways, welcome to TG!

Re: An outside perspective tactics review
It's good to play with and meet you guys. I had fun last night, a couple good maps where I rocked commander and we won, the last one by 3 tickets too, that was a great game.
I'm enjoying myself and think that this is great group of players.
P.S. as per some suggestions I just rerolled a new guy with a better name and went for the global unlocks first. Being able to run like a kenyian is awesome!

To add to that, I had an EXTREME amount of fun Commanding on Cerebre Landing yesterday (yea, that one that the PAC lost 0-2 when a moment before we were winning 46-24). That was very fun, and a VERY GOOD JOB to whoever made that "one man walker squad". You obeyed my every order and supported me with more information.

Re: An outside perspective tactics review
Dude, don't wait until you flesh out your kits to play here.
1. If you are a good team player nobody cares if you are unlock-lite.
2. TG is a place you'll earn more career points per round than just about anywhere else.
3. You only really need to unlock a defib. Everything after that is just gravy
So stick around and play!

Re: An outside perspective tactics review
In fact, because our server is so replete with brig generals, even the most basic squads will be able to make up for your shortcomings pretty fast. As long as your first move is to get a defib, then play here and pick it up. This is actually a great place to pick up stuff... you'll get field upgrades within minutes of playing TG too, so it's practically like being promoted when you play TG

Re: An outside perspective tactics review
I've fleshed my assault kit well.
Defib, improved med kit, smoke grenades
Shotty, helmet, rockets
And my globals are up through both sprints so I'm good there
I'm testing both the voss and the baur with my field upgrades to see which one I want to spend an unlock on first.
My choice atm is which kit I want to work on a bit next in order to start working towards having a little more diversity as a player instead of just being an assault junkie only.

Re: An outside perspective tactics review
you might want to try the Voss first, as it is much easier to play with, and less frustrating. I know I went with the Baur first, then realized that I wanted to be able to hit things easier, and switched over to the Voss, which took a while. Now I'm back to the Baur after months of practice =)

Re: An outside perspective tactics review
Yikes, that long? I got the Voss first, granted, but in just 1-2 weeks got the Baur and once unlocked only took about another week (if that) to surpass my Voss accuracy. Right now my Baur accuracy is double that of my Voss accuracy.
There's gotta be something about our respective playstyles to explain that. I mean, aside from you playing through the Playboy Bunny visual interface.

Re: An outside perspective tactics review
I do like that interface =P
Yeah, I went into other unlocks before I went back for the Voss
