Re: Your surroundings
What happens if you don't chase him down? I think there are situations that are valid to gamble one ticket if it means preventing 50some repeated gambles trying to fix the botch.
That 1 ticket loss for a chance to save Ruins could look pretty appealing when EU if facing capout or significant rear threats.. that 1 ticket could have lost the PAC countless tickets bashing their heads at Harbor/Toll.
While yes, I believe that an active wall (spawning) is alot more efficient than chasing, people don't always spawn in - and why make it necessary for people to spawn in the back when you can just fix the problem then and there?
So back to my original question.. what would happen if we don't chase him down?
1) 0 people spawn ruins. We lose ruins for sure. (doh!)
2) 1-3 people spawn ruins. We maintain ruins, if the runner isn't a SL. We lose ruins if it's a SM. Still not a chance I'm willing to take.
3) A full squad spawn ruins (not very reliable). If it's a SL with full squad, slight advantage defenders depending on SLs. We win a 6 ticket engagement.. a few soldiers are out of engagement (running back to combat area) for a small while.
