TV missiles are a lot of fun, just real finicky, seems like the sensitivity gets cranked up the farther the missile goes out making last seconds adjustments difficult. I will say even if you don't use the missile, the camera view is great for picking out armored targets that have yet to be revealed by the fog.

Yeah the TV gains speed and sensitivity as it goes along, but I must disagree about using the TV to scout the map. Gunship traveling at speed are about 75% as fast as the TV, so I prefer my gunners to save the TVs for killing people, as there are only 8 of them. Its okay if you see an enemy on the minimap that is past the fog and try to hit it, but used just for scouting I think its a waste.

I'm always open for tips, tutorials and training in the gunship while online, just ask :)

Currently taking a break from MW2, but when I play its as:

Even if you don't consider that I only have 7 days played in the gunship I'm one of the best pilots in the game

He means just switching to the missile view because it points out vehicles.

Exactly, I would be horrible at scouting with the actual TV missile.

What I always hate about TV missiles is that they take a second to reload before actually shooting them. Many times I couldn't shoot at a target because of this, and then usually Deterhek yells over the mic "MATH SHOOT IT SHOOT IT"

    Sorry, I misread.
@Math: What do you mean by reload time before you can shoot? I've never encountered this before.

You mean...thankfully, the TV has a reload time. It would be awful for the game if you could chain shoot them.
To me, what is really terrible, is when you shoot and can't guide the TV.

What I think he means is that when you are in tv-missile mode, and you press fire, the missile doesn't launch off instantly. Instead, it waits a split second.

At round start I like to fire a TV missile at the enemy base and Q spot the enemy gunship as it takes off. The missile usually won't reach far enough to kill it, but you can find it where it is and where it's going and that's a big deal IMO.

Which map is this? I don't know any map that has bases close enough together to do so.
Unless you mean you fire the TV when you're traveling across the map, but by then the enemy gunship is usually gone.

I often do as Britt said. Most pilots take off the pad and head straight towards the enemies base hoping to catch the gunship offguard as soon as he leaves the ucb. If you have your gunner shoot a TVM towards their base he can either get lucky and hit the gunship that is barreling towards you haveing just left the ucb or she can q-spot the gunship(as you can q-spot while directing a TVM).
Whats the Deal with the tiny sig limit?

I usually do it on Verdun. However, you never know. Maybe a pubbie won't get out of the gunners seat, maybe nobody took the gunship at first, something has delayed take off. TV missiles are cheap, and a Q spot on the gunship is invaluable in killing it.

Also, every 10-20 seconds there is usually a ship taking off from the Titan (transport or gunship), since most people crash the transport in less than 20 seconds... So shooting an occasional TV at the titan when no ships are in your immediate viewpoint often results in a hit or q spot
