Re: Baur Tips
It's also fun to win, and it's not to fun to use a sucky gun and fail.

Yes but what exactly counts as a "sucky" gun?

Re: Baur Tips
Yeah, I don't really know what it is trying to accomplish. It was meant for Baur tips but got pretty off-topic...

Re: Baur Tips
Haha Sharingan, it's true (though I can't speak for CoD, I've never played). It took me about a week of playing before I could achieve a positive score.

Without long arguments this stuff will keep going forever and ever, even if its ''just a game''. I think its mature and in this way there is no trolling.
Though too many arguments eventually take the whole point off as in some cases there is no ending and we end up being way too off topic and for that I state that...

3 Kills per clip isn't bad for that amount...I usually get 3-4 kills myself and I only have about 9000 (lol) kills with the Baur. At least it's better than those people who spend half a clip to wound, not kill, a person.

Re: Baur Tips
I usually net about 3 kills with a single clip, maybe 4 if I'm on the money on single-shot mode. And to be honest that's no worse than any of the other assault rifles. Kill more than 3-4 people with a Krylov clip on a regular basis and I'll accuse you of hacking or of being ridiculously lucky.
Like any other assault rifle, the best tip is to crouch and zoom, and fire in bursts. Single-fire is for picking people off at the further end of medium range. In fact, soften them up with single shot then finish them off with a nice Herzog blast or quick auto burst, then move on to the next victim.

Re: Baur Tips
Well, I generally don't kill more than one or two people with a clip. I'm a constant reloader. Supplies are so darn easy to get in this game, that any time I'm relatively certain I'm safe, I reload. It just makes sense. I probably actually shoot roughly 30% of my bullets that I ever load into my weapon.
That's not to say there aren't times where I've gotten 5 or so people with a clip in any given gun, but that's generally forced upon me, and while I feel exhilarated when it happens, it's not something I seek out.

Re: Baur Tips
Generally I'll reload if there is less than half a clip left for the Baur, around 10 for the defaults and about 15 for the Voss, unless there is an ammohub nearby and Im safe for the moment, or there is a wounded enemy I have the drop on nearby.

Re: Baur Tips
i reload around 37 bullets left for the voss if i can. True story.
Frequency that I find I need more bullets in my magazine: Most games.
Frequency of times that I run out of bullet magazines (rockets are another story) and I can't get resupplied or pick up a kit lying on the ground: Hardly ever.
Of course, reloading that often does put you in a more vulnerable position, but I'm not really advocating reloading in the middle of a firefight or a dangerous position. But if you're reasonably sure you're safe for at least 3 seconds, reloading when you have 19 bullets in the baur makes perfect sense. Otherwise you're giving up 5% of your magazine for no real purpose.
If you wonder why reaper is so damn good at getting oodles of points as a support, now you know. He plays with me.
