Knife Divers :P
I am sick and tired of divers. It is lame and stupid. The fact that you can knife someone in the leg and have them die is stupid.
The trick with divers is to knife crouched before you normally would (like someone coming at you running).
Another trick is something that divers hate and laugh at them every single time. The trick is to jump over them when they go down, it pisses them off and its hilarious. But I wouldn't recommend doing this on the TG server as you could be kicked/banned for doing this.
I thought this might help for some noobs. But I definitely would like some more experienced players/knifers to give some helpful advice as well.IM AN IRREGULAR!!!!!!!! ARRRRRRG!!!!!!

Re: Retarded Divers :P
Naw I was thinking of a knife only server. I just said the thing about TG so nobody would get cocky and get kicked :P

Re: Retarded Divers :P
Just to pick out one piece: I don't think it's bunny hopping to jump over someone who's prone. They're an obstacle much like a wall, after all... you would definitely jump over someone who was trying to cut your tendons in real life, after all.
But I'll agree with the rest. Shoot them in the face. If someone in my squad died in an unnecessary knife fight, I'd probably yell at them and then kick them from my squad.

It's not illegal if it's unranked, but I don't think you're talking about unranked servers, are you?

Re: Retarded Divers :P
Hmm, does the same go for pistol servers? They're even easier to stat pad on then knife only servers.

Playing BF2142 as:
-{SXGr}- J0KerRr
-{SXGr}- x^DeTeR
I'm always open for tips, tutorials and training in the gunship while online, just ask :)
Currently taking a break from MW2, but when I play its as:
eXileD// DeTeR
Even if you don't consider that I only have 7 days played in the gunship I'm one of the best pilots in the game
I will always accept a 1v1, friendly or not
MW2 Objective Player + BF2142 Gunship Pro

Re: Retarded Divers :P
Mmm, you've reminded me of a post on these forums by someone who, supposedly -but did seem to be honest- works at PBBans: here.
So no, ranked servers shouldn't be knife or pistol only or "Server Administrators will violate the EA Online Terms and Conditions" most likely due to the awards. Even though you can usually find them advertising they are pistol or knife only even in the name of their server.
The answer for ranked being: shoot them. If it is unranked then: knife them back. Or even better: play on TG and have them kicked for dolphin diving/bunnyhopping/knife only suicide tactics...your pick
Oh...and jumping over a body I've always thought bunnyhopping in a sense -not that I'd report them- because the rules are jumping over an obstacle is allowed, but people arn't obstacles in-game. You can walk straight through them. Although...I happened to get carried away and find myself jumping over a teammate lying prone when I saw him on the corner of my screen, while we both repaired a tank and I was strafing around it. I was, for a moment, entirely expecting to step on him XD so on the otherhand I'd say maybe people would do it anyway.
The only problem I'd have with it being allowed is: I remember someone commenting on TS about a guy who jumped over him, while he himself was lying prone, and the jumper proceeding to knife -or try to knife- him from behind. Jumping-under-fire vs jumping-over-a-ghostly-obstacle. Maybe you shouldn't jump over someone who is shooting you, but everyone else is fine
Would be better to ask an admin now I've thought of it...

Re: Retarded Divers :P
Yea. Wow I didn't ever know that knife only servers were illegal. I always use them to try to get the upgraded knife. And to get like the first 6 ranks (only the first 6 then I start playing on real servers).
Hmmm.... I might have to start looking at my priorities...

Hey, hey, I just wanted to point that out. No worries
.
Yea, I don't know - part of me wants KAIN back on the leaderboards just because this new guy... is the stupidest player I have ever seen, in the way his stats compose of themselves.

Re: Retarded Divers :P
Haha yeah me too, had to get the knife gold on knife-only.
And as for EA, I agree with MrJengles, I think that if EA was actually following bf2142, we wouldn't have a problem with people who are getting the top ranks from knife-only and pistol-only servers, as well as people who somehow have the rank of Brigadier General while only playing for 8 hours total.Hey everyone I'm trying to learn Greek, if anyone has any pointers please PM me!
