Re: Lambert Tips

So the Lambert is essentially the Recon's (slightly souped up) version of the SMG then?

Re: Lambert Tips

Lambert is a bit better than the SMGs at range, especially the Turrcotte, and far better at close range. But yeah, your best bet is to not occupy the same space for more than 2 milliseconds while still firing, in a gunfight with a true-blue AR.

Re: Lambert Tips

Yes you will lose a straight up fight with an AR, unless their back is turned, but even then...

Re: Lambert Tips

No,the Lambert will shred anyone who has their back turned. That's pretty much it's only great trait. The massive Dmg/sec.

Re: Lambert Tips

Actually it doesn't have massive damage per second, unless you're 5 meters away, otherwise all the AR's have more damage per second.

Have you ever been bored on a match of Suez where you have actually tried using an SMG at medium to long range? I have and you will rarely hit anything, but a Lambert can get the job done.

No, Lamberts will never go the distance a sniper rifle will, but if you are patient, you can get results... Some of us view it as a good medium range sniper rifle when on semiautomatic.

I agree, using a Lambert for normal combat requires you to be quick on your feet while engaged in battle, because you could die if you do not watch your step. That being said, it is even more important to be quick on your feet while recon than the other classes.

I do not know anout you, but something I have found when using the Lambert is that trying to manually fire bursts can help during short to medium fights, but that is pointless in close quarter battles...

Don't take this the wrong way though, if you are after long range prey, go with a sniper rifle. If you are looking for prey closer to you, then go with the Labert.

I just want to say this: I am done getting things derailed. I feel like I helped start this nit-picking over what the Lambert is, which is not what the thread was made for. As far as I can tell, this thread was made for tips on how to use the Lambert. I have said my part.

Re: Lambert Tips

Lamberts have the same ROF as the Baur and SCAR.

If you want to use a Lambert at range, you must use it on semiautomatic mode. I have successfully and repeatedly hit targets at long distance with the Lambert, even without the use of a stabilizer. Just the other night, during a round on shingle, I was at Dunes and was hitting targets (Mr. Anderson to be exact along with a few of his fellow squadmates) that were on the roof of Columns. I remember Anderson commenting on how somebody at Dunes must have been pissed at him... I do not suggest you make it a habit to hunt long distant prey with the Lambert, you will only draw sniper or rocket fire from the enemy soldiers... Hunt them only when you are cornered, which is what happened to me...

If you are going to be running around and most likely to run into enemy troops at close range, then keep the Lambert on fully automatic.

Ah so that was YOU shooting me... That explains why I was slowly losing 5 health until I sniped you in the face...

Re: Lambert Tips

Well there's an argument for the Lambert being a medium range sniper rifle-most other guns can do it better!

Re: Lambert Tips

Its a good gun to use if u are returning fire, or to sustain fire in hot fire fights. Thats where it becomes the weapon of choice on titan servers, because of its close corridors and becomes quite dominant in Camp G

Re: Lambert Tips

Yes thats true but does the damage per shot make up for that enough?
