I agree with that tread... and even if you're SM, go in the channel. Just don't say anything unless you need as it will make things complicated but you'll know whats going on.

Hmmm, I'm not so sure. This doesn't sound too harmless, but if your SL is good enough there's no need, and all this will do will clog up the channel with what SMs think is "needed" intel. In-game VoIP is sufficient for SMs, and only information that the SL thinks is necessary to relay to the other SLs is communicated in the teamspeak channel, and if the other SLs deem it necessary to tell their SMs, they'll do so.

It doesn't make a huge difference, but I think it's unnecessary and could add unnecessary layers of communication if every player in a team was in a single channel in everyday matches.

I wouldn't mind if people wen't into the teamchannels. It's not an exclusive club.
It would be cool if squadmembers wanted to be a squadleader because he was awed bytwo squadleaders interacting

    Re: Teamspeak Team channels

There are two strong arguments against using team channels.

    1. The domination that occurs if both teams are not utilizing it.

    2. If the use is regular, then we loose some of the social utility of TS as it is currently used.

It seems too hardcore to me to do every round, and it seems unfair to just spring it on the other team.

Perhaps have a one or two hour timeslot a few hours a week where we all know it TS teamchanel night at TG?

This way we don't do it half assed and we don't radically change the current goofy fun time that is the 2142 TS chan.

This actually sounds pretty good. Since it's an unused resource, if we have nights for it then people will actually make a deliberate effort to get on and use it at those times...kinda like how it was done with the old NS Second Servers and stuff. If you just left those things running they'd only get filled once in a blue moon, but by allotting specific days then there's actually some sort of regular usage of it.

    Awesome idea Sc1ence!
