The ultimate question
The never ending rivalry between the Voss and the Baur has hit a stand still. (at least in my mind) They both have their strengths and weaknesses, and in my opinion they are equal. And they are both good at CQB, the voss has a whopping 40 bullets to dish out, meaning minimal reloading, and the baur kills in 3-4 shots. By now I have both unlocked, and I use them equally. I use the voss on crazy close quarters maps like Tunis harbor and shingle, but I use the baur on large maps, and I find it works great on berlin and maps like it.
On shingle and tunis, the voss dominates because your going to find that you run into multiple squads and one kill should not take your entire clip and in a split second your going to engage another target. It dominates because your not reloading between every engagement.
The baur works great on berlin because most of the time enemies are in small numbers (only one squad normally) and often at long ranges, where the baur dominates. Your reloading between each kill or two and you have (normally) plenty of time to reload before your shooting again.
These are just a few reasons I think they are equal. And nobody should just use one, variety is good. I know there must be a few people who agree with me, but if you don't, fell free to reply with your reasons why one or the other is the best.
PS: I do think the voss looks cool-er it has a sideways scope for crying out loud! :PSome say his skin has the texture of a dolphin's, and that wherever you are in the world, if you tune your radio to 88.4, you can actually hear his thoughts... all we know is, he's called the Stig.

Re: The ultimate question
After having all the assault rifles at my disposal for nearly 3 years I personally use the SCAR 11 and the krylov more than i use the baur and the voss, I find that they are more average and I can therefore use them in any scenario when on the battlefield. The voss can do ok at long distances if you know how to use it that way, but the baur is horrible at close quarters combat.
Next time you're on the battlefield try out the stock weapons again, I think you'll be surprised :P

Re: The ultimate question
I know many people use the stock weapons, but I don't see why. I have used the voss, and the krylov in the same game before, and the result is the same. Voss. More bullets, and a little higher firing rate(maybe, I'm not positive), makes a better gun (that and the kryov souns like a airsoft gun ;p) . As for the scar, its a fantastic weapon, in my opinion its a great cross between the voss and the baur. But I can't seem to find a place for the krylov.

Re: The ultimate question
Voss is the ultimate weapon in this game. It can be used in close quarters, medium and long distance and you can even use it as a sniper rifle. (-: It is all about getting to know your weapon.
As wesb2 pointed out, stock weapons are great especially on NS maps. (-:"veritas vos liberabit"

Re: The ultimate question
Krylov, totally. When I play EU I start with the Voss, and give myself a side mission, get a Krylov ASAP.

Re: The ultimate question
Baur 4 Life! w00t! If you use the hezrog shotgun attachment with the baur, you can dominate in CQC, and the Baur dominates at medium to long range, more than the voss.
P.S. I feel like Jack Baur when I use it hahaha, just cause the name

Re: The ultimate question
Yea, when im EU, i use the Baur (sometimes with an herzog) only because the weapon has incredible stopping power! You can take out multiple enemies if you make your shots count, and when you run out of ammo...BAM! Herzog pwnage! The voss is nice, i used it only because of its ammo and how cool it looked, but whenever I use it, its just too boreing. I would only use stock weapons and the baur

Re: The ultimate question
On EU, I always take the SCAR. On PAC, it depends on my play style and quality that evening. If it's not that good, I take the voss so I can miss a couple of shots, else I take the krylov.
Baur almost never, too much of recoil. When I pick up a kit with Baur, I can handle it fine though. It's a signature...
