The personal shield and the sentry are awsome to defend the titan from invaders in manny ways. My favorit is to board your own Titan from a APC then jump in one of the entree points , move to the little room at the end of the corridor. There trow out your sentry gun , after that your shield and after the shield you go prone with your ammo box next to you. You are totaly covered then , the sentry gun wil warn you the second someone enters the venthole. The thin alrdy opens fire even when the target is not in view yet , follow the barrel of your sentry and it wil tell you excactly when the target wil come in your LOF ;D. Deploy the shield so you have very little opening at the right side.Thats where you can unleach hell on them with your Ganz our standard weapon. With your ammo box next too you , you can trowing non stop grenades. The box wil also make sure , that if someone pulls it of to blow up your shield , you are loaded to pop a new one in a sec.
Dont forget to use your shield to block entrees in other maps (like stairs our ladders) , and ont always see the sentry gun as a front defending weapon , but it can be also very handy to use it as your back eyes , it will warn you in time if someting is comming from behind you ;D

Will the EMP take down the sentry guns? I'm thinking EMP grenades will be key to successsful Titan assaults. With all the defenders in a confined space, the visual glitches will give the attacks a distinct advantage.

    I wil check it ingame tn8 ;-)
But when you are in that little room i said in my post on the Titan , the changes that the assaulting enemy is gonna trow a succesfull nade on you is realy low.And if they pull it of , then you just open fire with your GanzZzZz ;D

But the EMP grens will be a very good tool if the squad uses VOIP , if not we will EMP ourselves too ;-)

Ok, so you've blown the consoles, you see your fellow teammates running into the reactor room to make short work of the big glowing objective.
What EXACTLY makes you think it would be a fantastic idea to run in, throw some C7 on the reactor with people 4 feet away, run out, and blow them all to high hell?
Yes, its effective against the reactor, but it makes a LOT of people upset, and if they're the only thing between you and the defending force, don't you want them on their feet, rather than screaming 'Medic'?
Two things about this come to mind. One is I wish there was actually a way to do 'Fire in the Hole!' with maybe some big warning sound when you pull out the detonator...

The second is if you see a recon guy putting RDX on the reactor or a console get out. There is no faster way to take out the Titan's assets than RDX- I can have a console destroyed in 5 seconds, and each full load of RDX on the reactor does 25% damage. I'll give you enough time to get clear, but I'm not going to wait forever for a straggler.

It's amazing how quickly RDX takes down a titan. If you can get two recons in there, throw ten RDX packs on the reactor (this is not that difficult to do) and blow it, you're pretty much assured a victory. In fact, you might want to ditch attacking the titan - fall back on defense and focus on the silos - if you get a major breakthrough like that.

Something to try, when 3 of the 4 consoles are down, go wait outside the core room dor, as soon as it blows, run in, chuck your RDX on it, and if you feel you have time, run, otherwise, just blow it, you win (presumably...)

I agree on this one , ppl should start covering the enemy side if they see a demolition dude come in , and run out straigth behind him. I think the problem is that some ppl just think about there pins , medals and points , and thats why they keep shooting the damm thing. If ppl play as a team to win , then the smart thing is to let the demo guy blow the stuff. Same crap with the smart ones that are standing right infront of the console to destroy it , later they punish the AT guy that launchd a missile on the console ;D

One thing i've noticed is that when titan shields go down, everyone rushes to defend the consoles. Smart SLs should also do a couple of things:
Man the guns: chances are that enemy troops are using APCs to get there, one way to slow the assault is by taking that out of commission.
Cover the roof: The main (only?) way that enemy troops get in is through the cargo bay or on top of the titan near the turrets. Why not throw a few claymores or sentry guns up there?

When you're attacking a Titan and if you're on point always run to the other side of the hallway. If you stop as soon as you get in the hallway you've lined yourself up so that the defenders can shoot you and everyone else that's following you at the same time. You're also forcing everyone behind you to move up the hallway to get cover and they're going to block your line of fire and line themselves up with you for the defenders.

Oh, a fun little way to deal with all the sentry drones that get put up on defence. Sentry drones track the nearest target, regardless of line of sight. So just get a couple of guys to hang around consoles three and four, and the sentry drones in the reactor room will start shooting at the walls instead of the guys in the cargo bay.

And you can then wave at the defenders through the bullet-proof glass (a bunch of the commo rose stuff makes you wave).

People need to use smoke grenades more for corridor assaults. All I see is frag grenades being chucked most of the time

If you see your frag hit a couple of kills, chuck smoke grenades in, and rush in there to put an EMP or frag down the hall, or more smoke. Getting the console is all about gaining that foothold in the corridor past the meat grinder entrance.

Re: Titan Mode - Things to remember

Do the Titan hallway battles remind anyone else of the opening scene from Star Wars?

And yes, you can just let the missiles destroy the Titan if you hold the silo's, but where's the fun in that? Just seems like another version of Conquest when that happens IMO.

Personally, I'd rather see the missles only used to take down the shields and destroying the Titan core from the inside being the only way to bring the damn things down.

But hey, that's just me. Great thread BTW...have to add in some observations when I get a little more time.

    See ya on the battlefield.
I very much disagree with point #3 made in the post above. Squads are powerful because each individual in the group has his purpose/role and if I'm a recon in the titan that means that I am there to blow up the consoles/core. If everyone is shooting their pea-shooters at the core and I come up and start planting RDX, guess what? it's time for everyone to back the &*#^%!
OFF and clear the way because I blowing that beotch.. I can't stand when people don't get out of the way; and yes, I do always give people at least a few seconds to see that I have the trigger in my hand.. but you have to blow it quick or else you will get killed - one time the whole squad died (as well as a whole bunch of enemies) except for me and this other guy with only enough ammo to use his pistol.. during the breif moment when no enemies had re-spawned I started planting RDX on the core and this idiot just was standing right at the core snapping pistol rounds off , I backed up and saw a whole slew of enemies running into the core and said to myself F' it and just blew us all to hell because hey it's a team game and we got the win (the explosion killed the core). New rule, if you are shooting at the core and you see a recon plant RDX go and do the team a favor and crouch at the core room entrances and shoot any enemy that comes in because 5 RDX will do the same amount of damage in one click as 10 guys with pea-shooters shooting the core for 10 minutes....
