Getting onto buildings is pretty harmless, but freefalling across the map is not cool. Especially when some maps were designed as assault maps for a reason. Floating to a back flag at deployment is not how the game was intended to be played. |

Re: Squad Leader Tactics
Could you perhaps offer a more clear explanation of how to get on top of buildings, because the sniping oppurtunities actually are a mouth watering prospect.
What I understand doesn't appear to make sense: 1) You are a squad leader 2) You spawn a "2rd unlock recon drone" ( ? ) 3) You somehow jump on it 4) Someone throws a grenade at you (actually at you? near you?) 5) You don't die, but instead appear to be transported to the top of a building - nice, or alternativley are given powers that enable you to fly around the map ( ???? ) 6) You proceed to do this and get kicked ![]() If someone could just clear this up for me that would be appreciated. |

Re: Squad Leader Tactics
I do apologise, and appreciate that you don't want to encourage this abuse of the game physics nor turn this excellent thread about squad leader tactics into a guide for how to effectively cheat and piss people off.
However, I am still very intrigued by this alleged glitch and although I understand that you frown upon it, if you perhaps set up a new thread dealing with this one issue, underlining it, and making it unquestionably clear to players that on your server this is totally unacceptable, then that would be beneficial for not only me but for all who dare attempt such audacious antics. Moreover a thread like that reiterating your zero tolerance policy would be to the overall detriment of the cheating bastard online community. Please I really wanna know how to do iiiiiiit ![]() |

Re: Squad Leader Tactics
I recommend checking out TotalBF2142. Heaps of discussion of bugs and exploits there. We don't want to be a one-stop shop for glitching information.

Re: Squad Leader Tactics
I totally agree,
My little brother was using a certain glitch to kill alot of people and I reported him and won't play with him anymore. I think the only way the community can deal with this type of thing is not talk about how to do these things at all or even what people were doing and remove all posts with the instructions we also have to come down really hard on anybody we see doing it and let them know that it is not cool and ruins the game for other people. (plus is it really any fun to cheat?) |

Re: Squad Leader Tactics
Good for you kperkins, that is commendable.
I also agree this isn't the proper place to discuss blatant exploits, actually I would go as far to say that lyramion's post should be edited. |

Re: Squad Leader Tactics
Even if someone explained in detail on how a bug was exploited here, I'd trust this community not to even use it but to reconize it and report it.

![]() Thi is a great hiding place on Tunis, difficult for the enemy to find you and your guys can spawn on you. This has worked well for me but of course I've told you all about it now. Thanks to Dawolf for pic

Re: Squad Leader Tactics
I just wanted to add to Silver's hidey-hole that it depends on the lighting settings as to whether or not that spot is effective. I just seem to remember that spot being rather easy to check for me because I use low lighting settings (to keep the fps up).
