Weapon Damage vs. Various Vehicles

Had a great time last night with a few different squads, though after 5 or 6 straight maps attacking through a TG defended WALL took some patience

On one or two of the maps our squad was caught using ineffective weapons. The most obvious one was the jeep .50 cal equivalent, which seemed to do NO damage to the enemy gunship. (Tough cause that was a favorite of mine in BF2, gunship hunting in the jeeps.) Same with the APC .50 cal and Walker's main autocannon? Another was that the stationary railgun seemed to not do any damage to infantry, though I couldn't tell if it was giving them some sort of EMP like effect.

Has anyone seen a decent resource or list of all the different weapon types and what they damage?

Re: Weapon Damage vs. Various Vehicles

jeep and apc are small caliber, so no, doesn't penetrate armor.

Walker's main gun will damage a gunship though. Oh and nailing infantry with that railgun is fun as hell.

You have to get it spot on though for it to hit, but it's funny as hell

Still have to experiment with my AA engie against those gunships...

Re: Weapon Damage vs. Various Vehicles

You just reminded me of something I saw today. I had just been killed, and in the distance I could see the long walkway on Tunis Harbor. Anyway, I could see a friendly sniper up there and an enemy running towards him. He had been seen, so was bunny hopping. Anyway, the sniper shot him mid jump and he got thrown back. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it was funny as hell, especially as he got thrown down a flight of steps.

Just thought I'd share that with you.

Re: Weapon Damage vs. Various Vehicles

There is a great armor damage breakdown on one of the forums. I don't know if it talks about which weapons are effective/inneffective, but there are small weak points on the APC, tank, and walker that you can do damage with even using light machine gun.

It's been posted before. I'll find it.
