    The one time I landed on a roof with a Park 52, I ran out of ammo 2 distinguished combat efficency pins later, and a couple headshot pins, and had to parachute down with the pistol out.

    Just ask for the commander to drop a supply crate next to you... problem solved

    I would, but that would be a waste and was better suited for a full squad to use, not a single person.

    Fine... if the beacon is still there, ask someone to spawn in as support and hopfully they land on the building.

    Also on a side note: I once played on a 24/7 Berlin server (I was going to attempt to get my knife or pistol badge so I didn't want to go on TG) and the entire round consisted of "roof battles". Every squad was on the roof tops trying to take eachother out. It was the most bizaar thing I've ever seen. No one even atempted to capture flags (which were preaty much unguarded since everyone was on roof tops)... pubbies are so strange

    I was on the EU side for two rounds, we had all the flags and none were captured in those two rounds.

    IMHO, it is kinda shady because it basically amounts to a UCB for your squad. I've played on Camp Gibraltar pub servers where a squad would defend central camp, ruins, or EU base by placing a beacon on the roofs overlooking those points which were otherwise inaccessible. Even if you manage to cap their flag with a good squad they can pod in waves of their guys to eventually turn the flag gray whereas your squad can't get to their beacon.

    This could easily get out of hand once more people learn the spin trick to intentionally place a beacon above a flag they are defending. Imagine playing Gibraltar on the PAC side where almost every flag you are trying to cap also has an enemy UCB. Lol, that map is tough enough on the PAC!

    Meh. Orbital strikes are pretty effective at taking out beacons. Personally I feel that it's as good a place to kill them as anywhere else they might spawn from.

    Orbital strikes should take out the rootops, considering there isn't anything to hide behind up there. There are also numerous clipping bugs where you can fall through the cracks.

    You'd be surprised about orbital strikes and rooftops. I was playing a couple nights ago and our SL got the beacon on one of the rooftops overlooking Crossroads on Berlin, and the enemy CO must have used over half a dozen strikes trying to dislodge us, and they didn't work, either, strangely enough. He must have really hated us. It did strike me as surprising that the strike didn't kill the beacon though.

    Ah, that explains it, because it seemed that there wasn't a moment the beacon wasn't available.

    i usually spawn assault.. and i landed on a building in berlin (i think it was berlin)... along with another assault.. and we would ping-pong rez eachother... using single shot.. i managed to kill 20-30 until i ran out of ammo ( died a few times.. but rezzed before the timer ran out).. good tactic? yes... cheating? borderline....
