Ganz HMG reReview and Proper usage guide

Having Prviously hating the ganz I spent 90% of yesterday seeing what "improvments" they did to it in the new patch. I'd have to say with the new patch it is in my mind much more of a HEAVY machine gun. This is an early guide on how to properly use the weapon so bare with me.

First and for most remeber its a heavy machine gun and should be used as such. You should be thinking old ww2 mg42 and cal30. They cant be used like a saw. Its not an assualt weapon at all. It leaterly takes 1 to 1.5 seconds befor you accurate at ranges of more than a few meters. Once you get it "setup" though its one of the deadliest guns around. Many would say that makes it just a "defensive" gun. This is not true its just one of the few guns you actually have to think with when your usuing it.

As time goes on ill update this as I get to use it more.

It seems like the deviation did not change at all unfortunately, BUT the damage I think was bumped up a little because after the patch (1.10) I was killing multiple dudes (one behind the other and dropping like flies). It is true though that you have to already have the drop on the guy in order to win an encounter, which means already being set up and having the enemy scoped (I noticed that being prone helps the drift a lot now too) - you cannot run around and kill guys with this gun. It's main use is as a suppressive fire agent.. when enemies hear that gun firing off constantly around a corner, they seldom run out; which is good for your attacking force to run in.

I use this gun all the time. It accounts for more then 50% of my kills. I used it before the patch and the setup time I feel was double of what it is now. I don't really notice the damage difference but the deviation has changed big time. I think I might notice because I've been using it consisently since I have unlocked it.

I like this gun now. Once the sights have settled and you've got a decent firing rhythm down, the deviation is nice and small, and it kills very quickly. It's so effective you can actually use it as a suppression weapon.

Re: Ganz HMG reReview and Proper usage guide

I have not given it too much of a second chance so tonight when I get home I will be playing with it for a while see what happens. The few times I used it yesterday I only noticed a bit of a difference while prone. The deviation on this gun has always been 'ok' when you have a nice firing rhythm going. But as john said is not a run and gun weapon as the regular stock one. Crouching and shooting on this one will not close the reticule as fast as stock.

Ill get back to this after tonight.

I like the Ganz, it's a nice alternative to the shotgun. But to be honest I've hardly used the LMG. Looking at the stats I've spent more time and have gotten more kills with the PAC pistol then with both LMG combined. The only gripes I have with the Ganz is it take about 2 seconds to settle before I can shoot.
