Re: The kit and you...
A few times after dieing at the core without detonating my RDK, I'll scurry back in, try to find my kit, and do that extra bit of damage to the core.
On maps like Suez and Verdun I'll hop into a vehicle without being an engineer. After a few mins I'll run into an engineer and he will get that pilum shot in or lay down some mm's. After killing him I will go over and pick his kit up to repair my vehicle and to see if he has and mmb or defuser to get rid of his mines.
It definitely pays off to check kits that are laying around. Although I do hate it when I'm playing recon with apms and I die. Then shortly after I try to head back to get revenge and die to my own apm.

I do this quite a bit while playing support, I really like to throw the medic pack on the corpse's head. Just to rub it in a little that I am now using their kit to heal myself. hahaha

Re: The kit and you...
Just thought I'd share this:
I was playing on some pub server on Gibraltar as PAC the other day. I snuck into the back to capture Ruins. I'm the only guy on my team back there. I killed a medic and a support guy who had just spawned back there. I layed down both APMs and RDX to cover the entrances, picked up the support kit to lay down an ammo box, sentry gun, and IDS, then picked up the medic's kit and lay down a med hub. After that I picked back up my Recon kit to get ready for incoming!
I was effectively a one-man squad.

Jack of all trades
There's no kit that can do everything. Thats what a squad is for. But even in trying times you'll find yourself without a medhub or supplies. Maybe you want to cover a door with a APM. Well, you can even if your a engineer!
This goes along with my post of Tactics: Surroundings. Keep a eye out for whats around you. lncluding kits. Every chance I get I'll pick up a downed kit and use it's tools. The Motion mines, The APMs, The hubs, and more. Even if I don't need it, I'll drop a hub or mine down just in case. Hell, Even if I'm already a medic, I'll still pick up other medic packs and drop another medhub. You can have one hub per kit. I had 5 out at one time. This goes for everything including mines to. 4 APMs! 10 Motion mines! X Supply hubs! Ever think of having a Odus and a Squad becon? It can be done!
Keep a eye out for everything. That guy you just killed might have some extra toys for you to play with!

Re: Jack of all trades
Yeah, wise words, I remember having an otus AND the gun drone out at the same time, it was funny to watch them bump into eachother, it was even funnier when the diamonds started appearing.

Re: Jack of all trades
Sometimes APM's will disappear when you change to another kit - I beleive this to be a bug. Med/ammo hubs will stay untill the person whos kit you used puts another down, or untill the one you put down is killed.
Motion mines dont dissappear.

Re: Jack of all trades
This is excellent advice! Although it does take some "thought-training", it is very effective. Kill an enemy, get wounded, take his kit and drop the med pack, pick your kit up and move on. Even using items from dead squad mates can save you, plus if you are not a medic you better pick up that medic kit and revive your squad!
Diversity is key to survival and success!

Re: Jack of all trades
Anospa's squad leading advice: otus + otus + gun drone = happy squad. Otus + otus + otus + gundrone + gundrone = I need to do this soon. My record is two otuses (how would you pluralize that?) and one gun drone.
Motion mines will fade away after the kit hasn't been active for awhile and the kit disappears. If I see my squad's engineer go down and their kit isn't in a bad spot, I'll tell them I'll idle it till they get back so they don't have to re-lay mines.

Re: Jack of all trades
And that doesnt take long at all, if they can spawn on you. Although, its worth making a mental note of what killed him - if its still alive, chances are you dont want to be standing by his kit for long - or at all.
Otuses, otui oti, otuss? Hmpf, I give up, lets call it "Uber doppelotus pr0comb0"

Even if the mines dissappear. I'd still drop them if your not under fire. I got countless motion mine kills while support

Re: Jack of all trades
Sadly, on pubs, the only way to get healed or get more ammo is to pick up a kit, drop their med/ammo hub, and swap kits again. My victims keep me well supplied and healed.
