Re: RDX Sabotage
You can't pick up a sentry gun or an IPS shield if you are currently carrying one. So if you put one down, then hang out near a supply crate too long (or keep your own out to resupply yourself) you will no longer be able to pick up your own devices. However, if you place a new shield or sentry drone, your old one will explode; this new one can be picked up until you are resupplied.
If you've had problems picking up stuff, this is why. I'm not sure if the same applies for RDX and APMs and beacons.

Re: RDX Sabotage
Yeah, Jepzill is right. You cannot pick up deployables if you already have the maximum number in your pack. This includes IPS, Sentry Guns, APM, RDX, EMPAVM, and MAVM. You can pick up you squad beacon, but that's because you can't throw out a new one to make the old self destruct. You also can't pick up your ammo and health crates which really sucks if you want to redeploy.

Re: RDX Sabotage
As for RDX and APM's I have never been able to pick them up once thrown on the ground (maybe I didn't get right over it as was suggested above). As for re-supplying RDX and APMs, you have to be careful because if you have laid down all of your RDX, and you are re-supplied up to the limit again, guess what? the previous ones you have laid down are disabled and will dissapear in time because of the limit of 5 active rdx, two active apm per soldier. Basically with each extra RDX/APM that you get from re-supply an existing mine will go inactive.. so first detonate those mines THEN re-supply!

Re: RDX Sabotage
Weird.. last time I tried to switch to my clicker I couldn't because I had 5 RDX from a re-supply but I had before hand thrown down a few RDX mines. I'll try it again.. as for the APM's, yea I tested this again last night and I was wrong they are still active after re-supply I just didn't place them the right way.. BTW, the APM is arched (one side concave, one side convex).. I've always wondered, which side should you face in the direction that the enemy is coming from?

You lay it facing its blast radius. Think of it like facing your enemy.

) = APM
You ) -----BOOM-----> enemy
That's the way it should face. The direction you're looking when you drop it is the direction it blows.

Re: RDX Sabotage
I found this to be unreliable with regards to air vehicles. Even placing 5 RDX within or around the Air transport or the gunship doesn't always destroy the vehicle.
Also does anyone care to comment on the tactics employed in this video. Doesn't seem very beneficial in terms of strategy for inflicting damage on the enemy.

Seems to be more about annoying the enemy or just having fun.
Thanks

Re: RDX Sabotage
Some people use bike chains. Others use a steering wheel lock. I use RDX for my anti vehicle theft.

It works well. Get out of your tank (cause you have to head inside to cap a flag, say), and if your ride suddenly vanishes, 6, click.

Re: RDX Sabotage
just wanted to point out that hover tanks and apc's are actually spacious enough underneath to go prone and crawl under them. if you use your active camo to get there, plant some det packs, then stealth back out, you can get a great kill with the enemy not even knowing where it came from. sometimes even 2 or 3 kills. Of course this is the same strategy used for walkers, except instead of jumping to the vents you just crawl on the ground, with the added bonus that you're invisible to all infantry units in the immediate vicinity as well.
