Raised otus drone + Less health = useless crap

With the drone surfing problem couldn't they of just changed the otus drone top from being flat to a pyramid shape, that way no one could stand on it.

Otus + recon kit will show all detected enemies on the minimap without manual spotting.

Confirmed in-game 5/1/07.

There must have been someone with it in my squad yesterday because on multiple occasions I would get revived and try to fire off a few rockets only to find my "rocket" has magically turned into this goofy looking grenade.

In my opinion the only reason to ever equip it is: piss off and confuse the person who killed you and wanted your kit (or to nerf your squadmates).

I used it as a field upgrade once because smoking drops the fps on crappy pc's like crazy, managed to jump onto crossroads in Berline once doing this. So figured the radar would just do that much better. OMG, wow that thing is useless, smoke in this game is terrible, and the radar barely worked, and I'm pretty sure the smoke didn't puff out. This is up there with the stabalizer for the sniper in terms of uselessness.

Stabilizer is a good Unlock for the hardcore Snipers. While you can compensate the sway pretty easily - the Stabilizer makes extreme long range shots much better.

Id say smoke grenades rank same as IPS Shield

Hey now! The stabalizer unlock is pure magic. You can't knock out targets at 250+ without it. Also, it drastically cuts the amount of time from zoom-in to shot for those long range and moving targets. I wish all upgrades were this usefull.

PS: my vote for most useless unlock in the game is the SL-RPU (Squad Leader Reinforcement Prioritizing Utility)

SL-RPU is nice when you bum rush flags like the Outpost in Berlin where every respawn second counts. If only you could toggle that unlock off/on at will...

The Assault Shotgun isnt that bad because you can pull off instaprone action.

Eh, I've gotten away from it lately. I used to carry it and didn't even know about holding down shift. It does make long range shots easier, but most of the maps have way too much fog to even bother worrying about those shots. It is fun to pick people off from one bridge of Suez past the other one though. I just think its more useful to carry APMs and RDX instead of the grubber.
